Argentine President Fernandez Intervenes

Hey Harlem NY dudes, not all Western and South American leaders are on LSD. Look at what Pres. Fernandez of Argentine is up to. In two separate speeches in Cannes, one to the official G-20 gathering and one to the "B-20" business forum, Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner delivered a useful attack on the global financial system's rampant speculative practices, and slammed the insane austerity measures now being imposed on Greece. She also highlighted the role that rating agencies had played in recent years, in creating the "fiction" that Greece was able to pay its debt, while "punishing" Argentina for not playing by their rules.

Other than backing for a financial transactions tax, provided that it be global in nature, she didn't propose specific solutions, but argued that there must be "regulation of those who provoked the problem in the first place."

Why are we trying to impose "adjustment" on countries, and control their spending, she asked, when the real source of the problem is the world financial system itself? Rather than trying to calm the markets, she added, we must address the needs of people, of real human beings, and create jobs and ensure consumption. Speaking to the B-20 forum, Fernandez called for a return to "serious capitalism" instead of the "anarchistic capitalism" which rules the world today. Today, financial markets are involved in commodities, but "tomorrow they'll be into oil...and maybe the next day, into the candy market, if they think they can make one more peso without working, without producting or investing, in order to perfectly speculate."

"Are we going to continue financing the brokers who only produce financial derivatives, or are we going to finance those who produce food, goods and services? This is key," the Argentine President said to the business gathering.

Fernandez said she knew full well where decisions on monetary policy are made. "I know who runs the world... but they don't offer clear and concrete solutions to the system of financial regulation if they only continue to focus on what each country spends, but don't control what each investment bank does, or each rating agency, or each movement of the stock markets." What have world leaders been doing, Fernandez asked. It has been three years, and the situation grows worse due to the failure to act. The only "medicine" offered is the "billions of dollars and euros injected into the financial system!"

The Argentine leader warned that there is not a lot of time left to make necessary changes. To the business conference, she warned that the situation is such that, should viable solutions not be put on the table, the world — and Europe in particular — could see the emergence of totalitarian governments, as populations begin to question democracy's fundamental principles. "I think there's still time, and a way to establish solutions, but they must be solutions that have to do with the regulation of those who provoked the problem" in the first place.

We retain the right to make multiple and/or continuous demands of

ourselves, our society, and our government, as there are numerous

and varied problems to be addressed by our peoples’ movement. We

reject the insinuation of connecting these demands to an

endorsement of any one political party. Demands are only one

integral part of an already successful movement.

Many of us wish to effect a dramatic transformation of our society

and economy, in order that the 99% can control their workplaces,

local communities, job creation, and the global economy and

environment. This is offered to the GA as an initial, transitional

demand, in the hope that others will follow, and to help us build

alliances with workers, the homeless, the unemployed and the

undocumented. We expect that as the movement grows we will

make new demands on our society, our government, and ourselves.

Our movement is just beginning. The demands we make and will

make are just one of the ways we will take collective control over

our common world and common future.

Demand:

We demand a massive, democratically controlled public works and

public service program, with direct government employment, to

create 25 million new jobs at good union wages.

This is to be paid for by new taxes on the wealth and income of the

rich, financial transactions, and corporate profits, and reinstatement

of the Glass-Steagall Act – as well as by ending all U.S. wars,

disbanding mercenaries, ending aid to authoritarian regimes, and

closing military bases.

The new jobs will aim to radically expand access to education,

healthcare, housing, mass transit, and clean energy – and are to be

open to all, regardless of immigration status or criminal record.

Now, with the Euro going down, the only real response of the British and their puppet, Pres. Obama, is to get endless wars in the name of "democracy" or other excuses like "anti-terrorism." These will lead to some type of world war, with possible fighting against nations like Russia and China that could easily be the allies of the United States in the building of economic infrastrucure. A 12-page Alternet.org expose dated Oct. 19, "Which Bank is the Worst for America? 5 Behemoths That Hold Our Political System Hostage," will help our drive to force through Glass-Steagall before it becomes too late. The "5 behemoths" are Bank of America, JP MorganChase, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs. The very title, backed up as it is by extensive documentation on the pernicious influence of these five, buttresses LaRouche's point: contrary to the lies from Wall Street and Obama, Glass-Steagall will not "shut down the banks." Rather, it will shut down about six banks which are nothing but Wall Street predators, as Alternet proves, which we will be better off without. It will leave thousands of functioning commercial banks in the U.S.

The article opens with an unusually competent sketch of how we got to where we are — i.e., through the process of repeal of Glass-Steagall.

"The giant mortgage bubble and the irresponsible and corrupt practices that caused the catastrophic economic crash didn't emerge out of thin air. They were a consequence of decades of pay-to-play politics rife with conflicts of interest; a political system awash in cash and legal pay-offs, designed to undermine the checks and balances that could have prevented the meltdown.

"Many of these checks and balances were implemented during the Great Depression. How they were eroded and eventually abandoned is the story of a small group of banks, financial companies and elites involved in major conflicts of interest, revolving-door politics and backroom deal-making — all to protect the interests of the global elite at the expense of the American public.

"Big Finance has a long history of working hard to deregulate the American economic system on behalf of global capitalism run amok. One of its biggest coups was the overturning of the Glass-Steagall Act, a Depression-era law that created a firewall between investment banking and the commercial banks that hold deposits and make loans.

"The first victory in the quest to overturn this major protection came in 1986. Under intense pressure from Wall Street, the Federal Reserve reinterpreted a key section of Glass-Steagall, deciding that commercial banks could make up to 5 percent of their gross revenues from investment banking. After the board heard arguments from Citicorp, J.P. Morgan and Bankers Trust, it loosened the restrictions further: in 1989, the limit was raised to 10 percent of revenues, and in 1996, they hiked it up to 25 percent....

"The following year, after 12 unsuccessful attempts, Glass-Steagall, which would have made the crash of 2007-2009 impossible, was finally repealed. And it was only then that the explosion of shaky mortgage-backed securities began. Subprime loans, which made the mortgage system so vulnerable, made up 5 percent of all mortgages in the U.S. the year before repeal, but had skyrocketed to 30 percent of the total at the time of the crash."

What is the use of democracy and Occupy Wall St, if you are going to die anyway. It is time to pull the trigger and get Glass Steagall and Obama be damned. In view of the fact that the world financial system is at a point of no return, American statesman and economist Lyndon LaRouche said today, "there is no other issue on the table, that means anything in terms of the survival of this nation and the people in it, than Glass-Steagall. If it's not enacted, you are doomed, period."

But, he added, "Glass-Steagall alone does not contain the remedy, in and of itself, to save this economy." Once Glass-Steagall is enacted, we must move forward to a credit system, along the lines of the Hamiltonian system embedded in our Constitution. "What I'm proposing is a return to the policy of the Founders of the United States."

Presently, there is a bill before the U.S. House of Representatives (H.R. 1489) to restore FDR's Glass-Steagall, which has 47 cosponsors, plus sponsor Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH). No Senators have yet introduced a companion bill. As of yet, there is not the political support needed to ram the bill through in time.

- Expose Wall Street's Lie -

Right now, there is a campaign by Wall Street to intimidate people into opposing the drive for Glass-Steagall, said LaRouche, using the outright lie that enacting Glass-Steagall will close every bank in the United States. "This is a damned lie, and only damned fools believe in it." And LPAC intends to destroy this lie.

LaRouche: "Because Glass-Steagall will not sink all the banks. It will sink about six, big fat banks which ought not to be banks, at all! And the sooner they're wiped out, the better! That's good for you!"

"The fact is, you're going to have thousands of other banks, which are not these merchant banks! And what we're going to do is two things: We're going to eliminate the obligations of those banks, those honest banks which are real banks, to this kind of illegal kind of obligation! We're essentially going to exterminate the merchant banking system, in the present form it exists! Not by going out and exterminating, but simply by taking away all the pleasure of their money."

- Organize a Credit System -

"Now, as a result, we're going to have banks which will still exist! Of commercial banks, and commercial banking institutions, or things like commercial banking institutions, under similar law; we're going to have them. But what are we going to do? Well, the Federal government is going to put this whole system through a bankruptcy reorganization, and two measures will be taken: First of all, we will protect banks which may be insolvent, but are still viable as banks. We're going to keep them alive. We're going to supply, under the Hamilton rule, of the Constitution, we're going to go back and supplement the present financial system, with a banking system, which is a Federally guaranteed banking system." As for the Federal Reserve, "we're going to replace that by going back to a Hamilton National Banking System, based on a credit system, which is the U.S. system."

"Under that system, the Federal government will utter authorization for Federal credit, both to banks, which are solvent banks, competent banks, and for projects which are in the national interest, especially productive employment projects. NAWAPA is one of the most typical of those large projects, which will save the United States. The Act of Glass-Steagall, if followed through, by an Act, a restoration of a Third Bank of the United States, as applied under lessons learned under Franklin Roosevelt, with projects such as NAWAPA, means that the collapse of mercantile banking system, the elimination of that entire system; the obliteration of every one of those so-called banks, will be the greatest bonanza, that the people of the United States has experienced, in practically a century."

- Forget Public Opinion -

Why haven't people already mobilized sufficiently for Glass-Steagall, LaRouche asked. Because they insist on conforming to "democracy" and "public opinion." "They believe that a 'democratic vote' is what determines truth, and the time has come that a democratic vote as such doesn't mean a damned thing."

"If the present trend goes this way, you're all damned doomed fools, however you vote. So therefore, you have to be very serious, about making sure this vote goes the right way when it comes up. And the vote is for Glass-Steagall, without any reforms, any difference with the Roosevelt version earlier. They [the Congress votes that way, or you're doomed!"

Obama and the police-state regime he nominally heads may prove to be the ultimate victims of the drone that killed a U.S. citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, in Yemen.

Dissenting Democrat, a website whose masthead proclaims 'Advocating for Democracy, Not the Democrats—NObama 2012,' issued a release two days ago with the above headline.

The succinct piece states, in full:

"Recently an American-born alleged spokesman for Al Qaeda was killed by a U.S. drone missile.

"This killing without due process of law: no arrest, no evidence, no filed charges, and no trial, was authorized by an executive order of President Obama.

"The recently deceased was selected by a secret court attached to the National Security Council. The proceedings of this court are secret. The membership of this court is secret. The evidence considered by this court is secret.

"The secret court was established by an executive order of President Obama.

"The authority of the President to set up secret courts and to kill selected American citizens was established by an executive order of the President.

"No President in the history of the United States has ever held that he could kill an American citizen without due process of law. There is nothing in the Constitution delegating the President the power to kill American citizens or to establish secret courts. Indeed, a reading of the Constitution based on plain-language and original intent interpretations indicates that such practices are not constitutional.

"The White House announced that it has an opinion from the Justice Department which found that the President did have the power to establish secret courts and kill Americans. This opinion, however, is secret and will not be released to the public. Not only is the opinion a secret but the legal precedents and court opinions, if any, which were relied upon in this opinion are also secret."

Another attack on the killing of al-Awlaki, in the right-wing American Thinker, by Jonathan Kinlay (on faculty at New York University Stern School of Business, also Carnegie-Mellon)—"The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution is unequivocal: no American shall 'be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.' No amount of ducking and diving will evade the inescapable fact that, for the first time, U.S. military officials in an aggressive overreach of constitutional authority deliberately targeted an American citizen for killing. And no amount of legalistic wordplay will alter the reality that al-Awlaki was denied due process. (No, Mr. Gingrich, the signing of a death warrant by an American President does not constitute 'due process,' except perhaps in North Korea or Iran."

And under the headline, "Dangerous Precedent," Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul released another statement today denouncing the assassination of two American citizens, Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, as "an outrage and a criminal act carried out by the President and his administration. If the law protecting us against government-sanctioned assassination can be voided when there is a really bad American, is there any meaning left to the rule of law in the United States? If, as we learned last week, a secret government committee, not subject to congressional oversight or judicial review, can now target certain Americans for assassination, under what moral authority do we presume to lecture the rest of the world about protecting human rights? ... Our outrage against even the obviously guilty is not worth the sacrifice of the rule of law. Al-Awlaki has been outspoken against the United States and we are told he encouraged violence against Americans. We do not know that he actually committed any acts of violence. Ironically, he was once invited to the Pentagon as part of an outreach to moderate Muslims after 9/11. As the U.S. attacks against Muslims in the Middle East and Central Asia expanded, it is said that he became more fervent and radical in his opposition to U.S. foreign policy."

Hey Harlem and Bronx dudes, Obama is looking pretty weird

these days. And let's occupy Wall St on Sept. 17. Did you catch his jobs tour to all those rural places

where mostly white guys and girls still live? LaRouche was right, it's Glass Steagall and credit for production,

or we are dead meat. Ain't Obama ignoring the hood? And now there is Hurricane Irene, off with the

electricity, not so much in Harlem, but more in Newark, NJ in Bridgeport, CT.

Janet Napolitano was forced to cancel her Sunday press

conference on the Hurricane Irene disaster, after this writer

pointed out on the air that Obama is a far greater disaster.

Addressing FEMA Administrator Fugate, who had been the last

speaker, I said that I had no criticisms of Fugate's recent work,

but that Fugate should admit that Obama is the real problem.

Obama has cancelled the satellite monitoring on which we rely for

accurate storm prediction once storms reach the U.S., I said, as

the acting National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration

(NOAA) Administrator has just admitted. Obama has bankrupted our

cities and states, so that the "recovery" Fugate forecast is

impossible, because the cities and states lack the resources

required to recover.

"Obama is the worst President we've ever had."

Fugate interrupted to ask, "Is that a question or a

statement?", to which I responded, "Is Obama the worst President

ever?"

Fugate non-answered, "Thank you. I want to thank the

voluntary organizations for their very substantial help in this

crisis...." He went on to chronicle the thousands of volunteers,

the funds and other support mobilized by the Salvation Army,

Baptist denominations and others,-- as if to say, "This President

has destroyed the US government,-- thank God we have the

Salvation Army to fall back on."

At that point, the phone lines went dead, and the telephone

operator called out repeatedly, "Madame Secretary, we aren't

getting any audio." After about ten minutes of this, a voice

came on declaring the press conference over.

Reviewing the video on C-SPAN, where it should be available

until some time Monday morning, I saw that Secretary Napolitano

began whispering to the other participants while I was speaking.

As soon as Fugate finished thanking the charities, she ended the

event, hustling the speakers off the stage and out the door.

The power is on, despite Hurricane Irene passing through. We are up at a hotel in Hawthorne NY and we don't know if the roads will be clear to get back to the Bronx. The flooding in Elmsford NY, just about 3 miles south of where we are is quite shocking. We hope for the best, but traveling can be a drag. Next morning I may have to take the expressways to work, because the parkways in Westchester NY could still be blocked.

We Want a Human Economy

Hey Harlem dudes, even the young people

realize that the time comes to grow up.

Well, from the discussion today, from the lunch

discussion, it became very clear that what you had said two days

ago, about the nixing of the youth movement, and the opportunity

for the folks who used to consider themselves part of the youth

movement, the opportunity we now have to become a force to be

reckoned with, in this country, but also across the planet. What

was discussed today, was the perfect complement to that, because

it has never been more clear that -- yes, we're in discussion

with important people, blah, blah, blah. The fact of the matter

is, they're in discussion with important people, because they're

in discussion with us, to the degree that we take ourselves that

seriously. And I think that one's importance is really only

defined to the degree to which they want to understand the

reality that we're in, 'cause it's not very good, and the few

opportunities we have take a helluva lot of courage and

imagination, and playfulness, but seriousness at the same time.

So this abolition of the youth movement really shouldn't

come as a great surprise to anybody: If you're serious about

what you're doing every day, you're serious about what you're

organizing around, it kind of strikes you as, "Oh, yeah! Right,

of course!" We would be in this position now, to be

mass-educating governments and people around the planet on what

it means to have a human economy, and people shouldn't think of

themselves as anything less than that.

David Sirota: Obama Isn't a Liberal

This is by David Sirota from http://salon.com/ and it sort of confirms what http://larouchepac.com/ has been saying for weeks. This is Obama's coup against the constitution in the guise of the debt deal and the super congress:

Barack Obama is a lot of things -- eloquent, dissembling, conniving, intelligent and, above all, calm. But one thing he is not is weak.

This basic truth is belied by the meager Obama criticism you occasionally hear from liberal pundits and activists. They usually stipulate that the president genuinely wants to enact the progressive agenda he campaigned on, but they gently reprimand him for failing to muster the necessary personal mettle to achieve that goal. In this mythology, he is "President Pushover," as the New York Times columnist Paul Krugman recently labeled him.

This story line is a logical fallacy. Most agree that today's imperial presidency almost singularly determines the course of national politics. Additionally, most agree that Obama is a brilliant, Harvard-trained lawyer who understands how to wield political power.

Considering this, and further considering Obama's early congressional majorities, it is silly to insist that the national political events during Obama's term represent a lack of presidential strength or will. And it's more than just silly -- it's a narcissistic form of wishful thinking coming primarily from liberals who desperately want to believe "their" president is with them.

Such apologism, of course, allows liberals to avoid the more painful truth that Obama is one of America's strongest presidents ever and is achieving exactly what he wants.

Obama is not a flaccid Jimmy Carter, as some of his critics insist. He is instead a Franklin Delano Roosevelt -- but a bizarro FDR. He has mustered the legislative strength of his New Deal predecessor -- but he has channeled that strength into propping up the very forces of "organized money" that FDR once challenged.

On healthcare, for instance, Obama passed a Heritage Foundation-inspired bailout of the private health insurance industry, all while undermining other more-progressive proposals. On foreign policy, he escalated old wars and initiated new ones. On civil liberties, he not only continued the Patriot Act and indefinite detention of terrorism suspects but also claimed the right to assassinate American citizens without charge.

On financial issues, he fought off every serious proposal to reregulate banks following the economic meltdown; he preserved ongoing bank bailouts; and he resisted pressure to prosecute Wall Street thieves. On fiscal matters, after extending the Bush tax cuts at a time of massive deficits, he has used the debt ceiling negotiations to set the stage for potentially massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare -- cuts that would be far bigger than any of his proposed revenue increases.

As hideous and destructive as it is, this record is anything but weak. It is, on the contrary, demonstrable proof of Obama's impressive political muscle, especially because polls show he has achieved these goals despite the large majority of Americans who oppose them.

Importantly, though, Obama himself has not suffered from equally negative polling numbers. While his approval rating is not terrific, he is in decent shape for reelection -- and, more significantly, he has suffered only a minimal erosion of Democratic support. He is relatively popular, in other words, despite advocating wildly unpopular policies. Thanks to that reality, every one of his stunning legislative triumphs now has the previously unprecedented imprimatur of rank-and-file Democratic support.

In forging such bipartisan complicity with what were once exclusively right-wing Republican objectives, Obama has achieved even more than what he fantasized about when he famously celebrated a previous bizarro FDR. In an illustrative 2008 interview with a Nevada newspaper, Obama lauded Ronald Reagan for "chang[ing] the trajectory of America" and "put[ting] us on a fundamentally different path."

Reagan was a truly strong executive -- but the Gipper was nothing compared to our current president.

Occupy Wall St. Movement

Hey Harlem, it's time to join the occupy Wall St. movement. At a Aug. 2nd "Occupy Wall Street" rally, Sare

addressed the activists, gathered at the infamous Wall Street bull statue to oppose the debt-ceiling deal, and

oppose budget cuts which are destroying peoples' lives, while Wall Street

financial elite are protected. Diane Sare is the local LaRouche PAC candidate on the 6 candidate slate across the USA.

A large rally is planned for Sept. 17. Sare participated in planning discussions with the "Occupy

Wall Street" movement, who are modelling themselves after the young "Indignados" of Spain and Greece.

Sare reports that there was an excellent response from the

crowd, and especially from the young people, from the activist

age groups. They were familiar with, and friendly to LaRouche.

They were actively backing Glass-Steagall, which is part of their

list of action points, for which they are fighting.

The Aug. 2 rally was initiated earlier this Summer, by

organizers associated with the three-week-long Bloombergville

encampment in New York City in June and July, called to oppose

Mayor Bloomberg's murderous budget cuts.

Known as NYABC--New Yorkers Against Budget Cuts--the

grouping, through multiple websites and networks, issued an open

invitation to "a General Assembly on Wall Street" Aug. 2, the

NYABC stated, "National politicians are using the Aug. 2 deadline

on raising the debt ceiling as an excuse to attack social

programs we are entitled to by law -- Social Security, food

stamps, Medicare/Medicaid, and so on. In the midst of massive and

growing joblessness, and increased homelessness, the president

and Congress are hatching an agreement to swap massive cuts to

such social programs for meager new revenues."

The statement then attacks the banks for being responsible

for the crisis: "Even the money the government has used to bail

out the banks comes from our paychecks. We have a right to demand

that the money be used to invest in jobs, education, health care

and infrastructure not bankers speculation... Tell Wall Street

and the bankers no!"

Hey Harlem NY dudes, let's take a trip out west. What if you were on the Northwest coast by the Pacific

Ocean, in Seattle WA. From the standpoint of NAWAPA, Seattle is now going

to be a major hub, on this line that's going to connect all of

Asia. All of Asia, over into Europe, down into Africa; connect

to that, across the Bering Strait, down through North America,

all the way down into South America: Suddenly there's a

different meaning for Seattle, as it'll be a major change in the

significance of all of this territory here. The value and

significance of cities that already exist here, and cities that

have yet to be built in this whole region, is transformed: It's

a different kind of hub.

And we could operate from that standpoint -- the value of

this region is determined not by its current state, but by the

future state of the entire process. This future state will

determine what the significance is. That's what we're talking

about as a campaign here.

Along with that, you've got the already -- certain

capabilities that are becoming dormant, like the aerospace

capability there, which with largely Boeing, but others, which

under the space program, under Kennedy's Apollo Project, played

a significant role. Without the Apollo Project, they'd become

less significant, in terms of their actual capability; but if you

were to launch a project on this scale again, return to the kind

of outlook we had under Apollo, you'd be raising their

significance to a major productive center, a major scientific

center, once again.

Similarly, we've got the San Francisco area, where we've got

For the Bay Area, you've got Summer Shields as a candidate.

Similar situation: You're talking about a major transformation

for the state of California, because it does share a large chunk

of this Great American Desert. But then, also, the kinds of

capabilities that exist here, that we're talking about

re-claiming, that right now we're operating in a completely

isolated form. You've got major national laboratories there:

You've got Lawrence Livermore; you've got regions, which in the

past have been used for amazing things, like the level of fusion

energy research, that you had, although now the actual activity

in that area has slowed to a trickle, because of just bad

national policy, bad economic policy. The minds in the

background that would launch that, that would be able to drive us

into a breakthrough in fusion technology, both in energy

generation, but as an entire platform: for energy generation, for

propulsion, for materials reprocessing, all of that is, in

potential, there in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Obama Threatens to Steal Social Security

Claiming that "we are running out of time," President Obama today demanded that Democrats and

Republicans compromise on a budget-slashing plan in order to mollify Wall

Street and the financial markets. Obama stated that such a

fascist compromise is necessary so that Social Security and

veteran's benefits can be paid. This, despite the fact that

Social Security payments are made from a trust fund which is

completely separate from budget appropriations.

Obama stressed that "this is not a situation where the two

parties are miles apart." He said Democrats and Republicans are

"in rough agreement" how how much can be cut in the first round,

and that they agree that the next step is tax reform and

entitlement (Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid) reform, and

that he will support an "enforcement mechanism." (What is being

discussed are mandatory cuts, and the creation of a 12-member

Congressional committee--outside regular order--which would

mandate brutal budget cuts.)

And, demonstrating his oligarchical outlook, and obsession

with LaRouche, Obama blurted out the following: "There are a lot

of crises in the world that we can't always predict or avoid:

hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, terrorist attacks. This isn't

one of these crises."

Crimes over Mortgages

Three more civil suits to recover billions of

losses in mortgage securities fraud by international banks in the

United States, have been announced, adding to multiple state and

local suits against Deutschebank, multi-billion dollar

settlements forced on Bank of America, and NY Attorney-General

Eric Schneiderman's potential criminal investegations. Again, LaRouche Pac has been right on the money.

In the 1980s savings-and-loan scandal and collapse, hundreds

of S&L bankers were sent to prison for looting investors and

borrowers alike. Where, in this far more vast collapse, with

global bank criminality exposed for all to see, is the Obama

Justice Department, which has prosecuted no one?

The latest suits disclose the same pattern of blatant

mortgage fraud and securities fraud on a grand scale:

* The Federal Housing Finance Agency (regulator of the

nationalized entities Fannie and Freddie) sued UBS in New York

District Court for at least $900 million in losses resulting from

securitization fraud. In fact, the losses of Fannie and Freddie

from just 16 UBS-peddled securities trusts itemized in the suit,

total at least $1.8 billion, even without interest and penalties,

legal fees, etc.

* The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) filed suit

against the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in Alexandria Federal

Court, for violations of Federal and state securities laws and

thus driving the Western Corporate Federal Credit Union into

bankruptcy.

* The NCUA has also filed suit in the same court against JP

Morgan Securities LLC, and RBS Securities, for damages of more

than $800 million in the failures of other Federal credit unions.

A total of five credit unions were driven into bankruptcy by

mortgage-backed securities (MBS) frauds by these banks. The NCUA

is the liquidator for the five credit unions.

Food Aid for Africa, Harlem?

The continuing stream of news stories in

the international press about the deadly impact of the horrific

food crisis in the Horn of Africa, amount to bragging by the

oligarchic population-reduction advocates, and their lackeys.

The press coverage makes no mention of the fact that the

crisis is the result of 1) no effort having been made, by those

interests who are now talking about the shortage of food aid, to

develop the economies of the afflicted countries, and 2) the

necessity of food-price controls. Instead they pass off the

calamity as a "crisis of nature," for which there is no long-term

solution. The only solution is short-term food aid.

The speculators are creating a frenzy of activity, taking

advantage of the inability of the affected countries to buy

enough food at the already inflated prices, to gamble them up

even higher.

The blood-sucking commodity-price speculators, who engage in

this type of activity by trading Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) in

all types of commodities, have focussed on agriculture

commodities, which has seen the biggest inflow of hot money since

the beginning of the year, compared with all other types of

commodities.

Today there are more factually true horror stories from

Somalia's ``road of death'' as foodless refugees continue to

flee. This, on top of 170,000 refugees already in camps in Kenya

and Ethiopia, some of whom are walking hundreds of miles.

International relief funds and assistance are behind schedule,

including aid from the United States. The UN World Food Program

(WFP) is delaying airlifting food to Mogadishu.

The situation is especially aggravated by the radical

pseudo- Islamist al-Shabab, a self-proclaimed offshoot of the

oligarchic-created al-Qaeda organized crime network.

Al-Shabaab-controlled areas in southern Somalia have barred

outside aid, including the WFP, which it charges as being

political. This activity increases geometrically the number of

people fleeing to Ethiopia and Kenya.

Glass Steagall and Greece Collapse

Now, in the meantime, the absolute, absolutely bankruptcy of

this EU policy could not be clearer. Now, there is now a

complete explosion of mass poverty in Greece, where people are

living in bitter poverty: Thousands of people who are hungry are

going to the public food banks and soup kitchens; they are

looking in the garbage for food, and total social bankruptcy is

taking hold in this country.

The Greek Orthodox Church is giving out free lunches, and

the line of hungry people gets longer, and longer, reaching into

every layer of the population. So, they want to give food to

everybody, but they realized that after half an hour, all 1,200

portions had been given out and many people had to be turned away

with empty stomachs. Many people had come by bus, from across

town, just to get one full meal, and there are quotes from many

people who say, "There is no work, here. Greece is finished.

There is absolutely nothing we have left to do."

There is also now increasingly a pattern of Greek capital

flight, where Greeks are taking their money abroad, and there is

worry that this will lead to an implosion of the Greek banks,

which would then be another factor in the whole dynamic. There

is even consideration of imposing capital controls. And the IMF

came out and said that they may no longer participate in any

Greek packages, that they've had it. Because they do not think

this whole thing will work.

Now Hillary Clinton on her world trip, will also go through

Athens, because obviously, the worry is that once the Greek

situation detonates, it will spill over to Spain and Italy.

So that is the situation is the trans-Atlantic region, but

don't think that that is the extent of it, because now there is

concern in the Chinese bond market, because their rating agenda

have threatened the downgrading of certain bonds of Chinese

provinces, and there is discussion that this could lead to a

chain reaction, because there is increasing worry concerning the

solvency of several province and many communes. Moody's already

is meddling in the internal Chinese market, warning of all of

this.

Government by Teargas in Greece

teargas and other chemical weapons than any previous

demonstration. The official figure is 2,860 chemical bombs, most

of which were manufactured in Israel and the United States. The

average number used during demonstrations in the past have been

no more than 150. This is because the anarchists who create havoc

during demonstrations are a very small minority, thus the

enormous number of 2,860 bombs confirms that the operation was

ordered from the top to repress the demonstrations and show the

"markets" and Greece's European Union masters that they have the

"courage" to "do what it takes" to save the euro.

Citizens' Protection Minister Christos Papoutsis has now

been dubbed "Chemical Chris."

The {Katherimini} commentator reported that the police

claimed that by monitoring cell phones they heard the phrase

"{Pame vouli}," or "let's storm the Parliament." In reality, it

was a hot summer day in Greece and what they really heard was

"{Pame voula}" meaning "let's go to the beach"!

The commentator heaps sarcasm on the government claims:

"That is why parties of handpicked troops swooped down on the

mercilessly beat old men and women who pretended to be

representatives of the country's aged population when they were,

in fact, urban guerrillas in disguise.... That is why they

launched 2,860 units of chemicals."

almost a EU1 million to replenish its supply of chemical weapons

"with imports from Israel, which has its own set of problems, we

tied up ships bound for Gaza with humanitarian aid so that we can

RING OF FIRE QUAKES INTENSIFY

June 26 According to Indonesia's Meteorology and

Geophysics Agency, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake has hit, centered

about 53 kilometers (33 miles) northeast of Waren, a town on the

northern coast of Papua.

Last week there were a significant number of quakes of 5 or

above throughout the Ring of Fire, including a major 7.2

earthquate late Thursday, July 23, in Alaska, USA.

The other nations to record moderate to strong earthquakes

last week include Japan, Fiji, Panama, Papua, New Guinea,

Indonesia, Costa Rica, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa,

Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Antarctica.

Last week four earthquakes measuring in excess of 5.0 on the

Richter Scale struck Alaska. A large earthquake (magnitude 6.7)

struck off the coast of Honshu, Japan, Wednesday night, June 22.

A series of large tremors measuring greater than 5 have been

recorded there since Wednesday night.

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Solomon Islands Friday

morning, June 24. It was the third strong earthquake to hit the

region last week.

On Thursday night Tonga was hit by a moderate earthquake.

On Wednesday night a magnitude 5.2 earthquake was recorded

in Fiji. The region was also hit by 5.5 and 5.1 magnitude quakes

on Saturday and Sunday.

The Catamarca region of Argentina was hit by a moderate

earthquake on Wednesday.

A 5.2 magnitude quake struck the South Island of New Zealand

on Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, northern Sumatra in Indonesia was shaken by

a magnitude 5.2 tremor.

A strong earthquake struck the Antofagasta region of Chile

Monday afternoon.

A 5.4 magnitude quake hit the island nation of Vanuatu on

Monday.

On Sunday a 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Panama.

A 4.9 magnitude quake was recorded along the

Pacific-Antarctic Ridge on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday night the northern coast of Peru experienced a

moderate 5 magnitude earthquake and on Saturday morning a

magnitude 5.2 tremor was recorded in Papua New Guinea.

OBAMA BUDGET CUTS WILL KILL: PORTLAND CONFERENCE SAYS WEST COAST

UNPREPARED FOR INEVITABLE CASCADIA SUBDUCTION ZONE QUAKE

At the American Institute of Architects

conference held at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon,

scientists argued June 24 that within the next 50 years,

Washington state and northern Oregon face a 10 to 15 percent

probability of an offshore quake powerful enough to kill

thousands and launch a tsunami that would level coastal cities.

Off southern Oregon, the probability of an 8-or-higher magnitude

earthquake is greater -- 37 percent.

Oregon State University's Chris Goldfinger, one of the

world's top experts on subduction-zone quakes, and other

authorities, said the Northwest is dangerously unprepared for a

massive quake they consider inevitable. Oregon is not nearly as

prepared as Japan for a major earthquake, let alone a tsunami. At

least 300,000 Oregon children attend school in buildings

vulnerable to collapse when the Big One comes. Oregon stores much

of its liquid fuel, for example, in tanks on soil prone to

liquefaction along the Willamette River north of Portland.

Goldfinger and his colleagues have advanced the field of

paleoseismology, examining sediments and rocks for signs of

ancient earthquakes. They took core samples recently in Japan's

Sendai plain, confirming that the Jogan tsunami in the year 869

swept farther than the March 11 wave, stopped only by hills 3

miles inland in what is now Sendai city.

Goldfinger's team has used similar techniques to date and

fingerprint 19 undersea ruptures that have occurred during the

last 10,000 years along the entire tectonic-plate margin from

California to British Columbia.

Twenty-two more earthquakes have occurred along the southern

parts of the Cascadia zone off Oregon. Cascadia quakes also seem

to trigger activity along the San Andreas fault line to the

south.

The largest Cascadia quake, known as T11, hit 5,900 years

ago. The most recent one, called T1, occurred around 9 p.m. Jan.

26, 1700. The roughly 9-magnitude quake sent a tsunami to Japan.

That was 311 years ago. The farther south along the Northwest

coast, the more frequently quakes occur.

An 8.5-magnitude earthquake would kill an estimated 5,000

Oregon residents at minimum, said Yumei Wang, geohazards team

leader at the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral

Industries. Many would probably die in unreinforced masonry

structures prone to collapse, she said, including school

buildings. State grants to upgrade schools and emergency

buildings have lapsed.

Many Oregon bridges are also vulnerable, said Peter Dusicka,

a PSU civil engineering professor. His modeling projects Oregon

bridge damage exceeding $1 billion from a 9-magnitude Cascadia

quake. A less powerful 6.5-magnitude earthquake in the Portland

hills would cause more than $1.5 billion in bridge damage,

Dusicka expects.

"It wasn't really until the 1990s that a worthwhile

earthquake load was considered for bridges" in Oregon, Dusicka

said. "Yet most of the building was in the '60s and '70s."

Engineers have learned, Dusicka said, that seismic

retrofitting can reduce bridge damage. Portland's Marquam Bridge,

built in 1966, had a basic retrofit in 1995 to prevent such damage.

thought yesterday. You know, working within society, with the

wrong. This didn't work, and here's why." Or, "This didn't

work. Let's figure out why." That's society, that's progress!

The idea of deduction! Rigid, corpse-like deduction, like

the undertaker laying out the corpse for the display! Which is

the way most people perform art, and design it. "When you're

dead, I'll be able to arrange you prettily," says the undertaker.

You've got to find the beauty {in} the process of life, not

in the work of the expert, who lays out the corpse, of what you

did or didn't do with life. And therefore, you have to block, get

all this crap, all this obstructionist crap and so forth, out of

our system, by these methods: The Classical artistic composition

methods. Because Classical artistic composition {is the highest

form of science,} because it deals with the imagination, {which

is the place where science lives!} It's the only address where

science lives.

More Down Inside Trading

Way down inside- sang Led Zeppelin. Was it about the corruption of insider trading that is rampant on Wall St. This is from the NY Times. The Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating whether trades in health care stocks by the hedge fund SAC Capital Advisors as recently as last year were made using inside information, a person briefed on the matter said on Wednesday. Note: this is on top of investigations on Goldman Sachs and fraud around the mortgage backed securities.

The investigation comes as SAC, one of the most prominent hedge funds in the world with $12 billion in assets under management, has become something of a focal point for authorities. Two former SAC portfolio managers have pleaded guilty to criminal charges of using inside information to trade technology stocks.
Separately, the S.E.C. is looking into whether the hedge fund used inside information about the 2007 takeover of MedImmune, a biotechnology company, the person said. The Wall Street Journal earlier reported about the inquiry into MedImmune.

Neither SAC nor its billionaire founder, Steven A. Cohen, has been accused of wrongdoing by the S.E.C. or by any other authority. A spokesman for SAC declined to comment on Thursday. The inquiries into the SAC trades are part of an accelerating effort by the S.E.C. and the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan to crack down on insider trading, with a particular focus on hedge funds. The criminal investigations by federal prosecutors have resulted in charges against 49 people, 39 of whom have pleaded guilty.

Two people who have pleaded guilty were the former SAC employees Noah Freeman and Donald Longueuil. Mr. Freeman is expected to testify Thursday at the trial of Winifred Jiau, a consultant for an expert network firm who is charged with leaking inside information. SAC has said that it is “outraged” by the conduct of the two former employees. The cases against Mr. Freeman and Mr. Longueuil are part of the government’s examination of expert network firms, which developed over the last decade alongside the proliferation of hedge funds. The government has filed criminal charges against 13 people connected to the firms, eight of whom have pleaded guilty.

Giving Up on Haiti, Harlem?

Harlem NY and Bronx NY, do you ever think of Haiti after the killer earthquake?

Bill Reed, head of the National Hurricane Center,

told an audience in Fort Lauderdale, FL, May 20 that he is deeply

concerned that Haiti will not be able to withstand the Atlantic

hurricane season that begins June 1. "I don't feel comfortable

that, should there be a direct hit, there would be the capacity

to shelter everybody in a safe place," Reed told the Florida

Governor's Hurricane Conference.

That is an understatement. Thanks to Nerobama, Haiti has no

protection from any further natural disaster, with 700,000 people

still living in flimsy and filthy tents in Port-au-Prince, and

countless thousands more living in precarious "housing" not fit

for human habitation.

Forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric

Administration (NOAA) warned on May 19 that as many as 18

tropical storms will develop between June 1 and Nov. 30, and

three to six of those could strengthen into major hurricanes,

with top winds of 111 mph or higher.

Haiti has no defenses against such storms. It is extremely

vulnerable to flooding, even from a weak tropical storm, due to

the extreme deforestation that has occurred over decades of

over-farming and cutting trees for charcoal, which is used for

fuel. Infrastructure that might protect the population from

flooding is nonexistent.

According to the mayor of the Port-au-Prince suburb of

Carrefour, who attended the Fort Lauderdale conference, he can do

nothing for the people of his city in the event of a hurricane or

other natural disaster. Carrefour has no emergency shelters, very

few medical resources, and lacks sanitation infrastructure. He

reported that all he can do is urge people to leave and find a

safer spot, and not to expect any help from the authorities. But

many refuse to leave, he added, responding that "We don't have

anywhere to go; we'll stay right here, and if we have to die,

we'll die here."

The Vicksburg, Mississippi flood crest today

may be about 57.1 ft, a little lower than feared, but still a

record, or near-record. In the state of Mississippi, there are

4,800 people displaced, including about 2,000 in Vicksburg. Some

are on cots in shelters, some in trailers in parking lots. In

Tunica, at the lot at the Tunica Arena and Exposition Center,

there is a displacement shelter. The number of displaced will go

up to 6,000 at least, in this one state, says Mississippi's

Emergency Management Agency.

One fatality so far, a drowning in Vicksburg.

The Coast Guard is trying to allow some barge transit. Barge

traffic was closed yesterday along the stretch of the Mississippi

north of Louisiana, but it is opened today. The wakes from the

barge tows pressure the levees, already threatened by prolonged

floodwater pressure.

HALF THE USA GRAIN EXPORTS transit the Mississippi. Under

the decrepit economy, there is no alternative transportation. The

trains have been so widely taken down. And also, the cartel

grain- controllers have centralized everything to the extreme,

e.g., in New Orleans elevators and depots.

against the Wall Street bankers they blame for the city's budget

array of city council members and state elected officials laid

the blame for the budget cuts squarely at Bloomberg and Wall

Street's feet. "Wall Street recovered, hedge funds got

stimulated, and now they want to lay off teachers and close day

care centers," Sharpton said. "We're going where they sent the

money." Randi Weingarten, president of the UFT's parent

organization, the American Federation of Teachers, noted she has

traveled the country in the past few months fighting against

teacher cuts in states across the nation. "I never expected to

come home to see New York act like Wisconsin," she told the

CALIFORNIA: 26 members of the California Teachers

Association, including the union's president, were arrested in

the state Capitol in Sacramento on Thursday evening as part of

their week-long protest against Gov. Jerry Brown's proposed

budget to be released Monday. The arrests mark the second time

this week that law enforcement was ordered to break up the

union's events. In high schools throughout the state and in the

Bay Area, students and teachers rallied and protested this past

week, including student walk-outs. On Friday, thousands were

expected to gather in Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles to

protest the cuts, Similar protests were held in San Diego, San

Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento.

In addition, Sacramento residents packed into a City Hall

meeting room Thursday night to protest proposed budget cuts to

community centers and other local parks programs. About 45

citizens addressed the City Council. The proposed budget cuts

would slash hours at the Hart Senior Center in Midtown by half.

Some of the speakers contrasted the proposed community center

cuts with city leaders efforts to bring a new sports arena to the

area. "You just knocked out all the senior people, so you better

get us some seats up at your new arena," Helen Blatta, a

supporter of the Hart Senior Center, warned. ({Los Angeles

WISCONSIN: Thousands of protesters are scheduled to come to

Madison for a Saturday rally. Buses are coming from all corners

of Wisconsin, including Eau Claire, Wausau, Racine, Manitowoc and

rally will show that the people want to deliver "a resounding

message to stop the attacks on the middle class." "Working

families have joined together for three months and prevented

Scott Walker's radical plan to take away workers' rights for

three months," the advisory said. "On Saturday, working families

will join together to protest Walker's extreme agenda and budget

proposals. The people of Wisconsin are as united and determined

MICHIGAN: A Muskegon County school district's budget cutting

proposal is sparking protests; Wednesday night dozens of people

rallied to protest privatizing school services. The district is

considering outsourcing bus drivers, cafeteria workers and

custodians to help ease a nearly $2-million budget deficit.

MARYLAND: Teachers and students of the Baltimore School for

the Arts have been protesting for the past couple of weeks about

the budget cuts the school is facing, which will lead to three

teachers losing their jobs next year. Teachers were seen marching

down to City Hall Friday morning to demand "fair treatment of

teachers," and students organized a protest last week.

Thursday evening, while the Board of Education was meeting to

decide whether to cut school nursing positions. At the meeting,

group of school nurses that he had not yet made a decision to

Obama "Mans Up" to a Meeting with the Black Caucus on (No) Jobs

May 13 (LPAC)--Yesterday Nerobama held his first meeting with the

full Black Caucus since he has been President, to listen to an

earful about the astronomically high unemployment rates for

blacks and black teenagers in urban centers in particular.

Reliable sources in Washington report that relations between

Obama and Black elected officials have gotten increasingly tense

recently, as the legislators are waking up to the fact that

Obama's policies are destroying their constituency--along with

the rest of the population.

The meeting was the first time the full Black Caucus had met

with Obama since he became President. It follows a meeting the

Black Caucus had with White House Chief of Staff William Daley

last week, www.kansascity.com reports.

At the White House press briefing yesterday, a reporter

asked, "This Administration is tallying 14 consecutive months of

job growth in the private sector. And you have African-American

leaders, to include [sic] Mary Frances Berry and Al Sharpton, who

are saying, 'Who's getting those jobs?' Because the data shows

African Americans are not getting those jobs, when the African

American unemployment rate is right now 16.1%, and the black teen

unemployment rate is 44%. So who's getting those jobs?'"

Dr. Boyce Watkins, of YourBlack World.com, reports that he

and Dr. Wilmer Leon had reported early this week that "the Obama

Administration's gatekeepers have inexplicably canceled several

meetings with the Congressional Black Caucus over the past two

years. Dr. Leon and I speculate the meeting cancellations were

due to members of the administration, most notably, Senior

Advisor Valerie Jarrett, not having an interest in putting the

president face-to-face with African American political leaders."

During yesterday's meeting, Watkins reports, Obama

acknowledged that the black unemployment rate remains "far too

high."

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) told the press that the CBC had

used its Facebook page to ask its constituency what it should

discuss with Obama. 97% said "Jobs," Cleaver reported. When Obama

was pressed to do more for the African-American population

hardest-hit by unemployment, he was "reluctant," the Huffington

Post reported. Asked why Obama was reluctant, Cleaver

"stammered," and suggested that some of the other CBC members

might be more "forthcoming. I mean, I'm the chair." (He was

acting more like the part of the human anatomy that is in regular

contact with a chair.)

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex.) also pressed Obama at the

meeting to give jobs to minority youth to clean up some of the

nation's disasters in the tornado belt, and the Mississippi flood

areas, and urged Obama take another look at supporting the

request of Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) for disaster aid for

areas hit by Texas wildfires, which Obama refused.

But none of the CBC members are known to have told Obama to

do the one thing that could have actually addressed these

Obama White House's Loose Chatter on Bin Laden Raid Damages

National Security

May 13 (LPAC)--In an unusual statement that is being widely

interpreted as a slap at Obama and his top aides, Defense

Secretary Robert Gates said Thursday that "operational details"

on the Osama bin Laden raid were disclosed in violation of an

agreement among top U.S. officials, harming the military's

ability to conduct such operations in the future. The London

{Daily} Telegraph, for example, called Gates' remarks "a thinly

veiled attack on White House officials."

Speaking to Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, Gates

disclosed that "a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all

agreed that we would not release any operational details from the

effort to take out bin Laden," and then he pointedly stated,

"That all fell apart on Monday--the next day."

Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell told ABC News that

"all of a sudden airwaves and newspapers were filled with details

about a covert military and intelligence operation and that's

concerning, because one of the reasons that these operations--and

this operation in particular--are effective is because how they

do their work, how they're equipped, how they're trained, their

tactics and procedures are all secret ... The more that's in the

public domain the less likely we'll be able to pull these

operations off in the future."

The {National Journal} reported today that the Joint Special

Operations Command (JSOC), which ran the operation, has opened an

operational security review to determine how damaging the public

disclosures might be for future operations. JSOC will almost

certainly be forced to adopt new methods, which poses an acute

problem because the intelligence that's being analyzed may

require JSOC to conduct similar raids in short order, the

National Journal said.

Others have pointed out that the torrent of detailed

information, much emanating from the White House, endangers the

military and intelligence operatives involved, as well as their

families.

Rob Curtis, who writes the Gear Scout blog for Military

Times, told {US News}: "It's my feeling that the administration

has aimed a spotlight into one of the darkest corners of our

national security apparatus without regard for the damage it

Shocking Medicare Trustees' Report Shows Obama's Brain

Today's unsurprising report of major losses to the

Medicare Trust Funds in the past year, and the reactions to it by

the Obama White House, showed that not only is Obamacare a

fascist denier of medical care, but those who try to defend it

become ideological mental cases.

Obama and his backers claimed, in the midst of economic

catastrophe in March 2010, that the Obamacare law's passage had

magically "extended Medicare solvency by 12 years, until 2029."

Today, just a year later, the Medicare Trustees reported that the

Trust Funds have shifted dramatically the other way; they would

be unable to meet all payments by 2024. The five-year swing in

one year had only one cause: Obama's continuing economic

collapse, mass unemployment, and the resulting revenue collapse

from Medicare payroll taxes.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sibelius idiotically responded to the

Trustees' report by claiming that without Obamacare, the new

deadline for Medicare Trust Fund shortfalls would have been 2016!

She did not reveal how she quickly arrived at that new fool's

calculation. Next year, if Obama is allowed to stay in the White

House and the Trustees have to report the new insolvency date IS

2016, Sibelius will have to get really creative.

that "Medicare spending is the major cause of deficits," and that

"holding down costs," "reforming Medicare," issuing vouchers,

etc. will have any impact on Trust Fund deficits. Like Rep. Paul

Ryan, who said today, "The House-passed budget will save

Medicare."

After today's Trustees' report, anyone who says the Medicare

program will be restored by anything other than Glass-Steagall

and credit mobilization for new infrastructure platforms and

employment programs, needs medical care of a very specific sort.

Many Americans think Medicaid is a program for poor people,

while they consider Social Security and Medicare as programs

which provide retirement income and health benefits to workers

which workers themselves pay a tax for every payday. The truth

is, while 77% of the 58 million people enrolled in Medicaid are

children and families, and only 23% are elderly or disabled, in

fact, 64% of the money Medicaid spends is spent on older and

disabled people. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 7 of

every 10 nursing home residents are on Medicaid, because

middle-class patients can quickly use up their savings at nursing

homes which charge $5,000-7,000 per month. Then, they need

Medicaid to stay there.

The "block grant" mechanism is proposed as the way to cut

Medicaid--once the allotted money is spent, treatment is over.

The state can decide how its block grant is spent--it could

exclude certain life-saving procedures, like organ transplants,

as was done in Arizona. A modern twist to the Hitlerian idea:

once the block grant, the pittance allotted after the Federal

government bails out the banks has been used up, your life is

"unworthy to be lived." As Lyndon LaRouche said today, "Let the

banks die--we can create new banks anytime!"

In Florida's "pilot program" to reduce Medicaid spending,

the program is being turned over to HMOs to manage the care "more

efficiently." Florida's proposed new Medicaid law "requires that

HMO organizations be paid less for each patient than what the

state has paying under the "fee for service" system"--where, if a

doctor prescribes treatment, the state must pay for it.

The House Republican budget plan would throw as many as 44

million low-income adults and children out of Medicaid over the

next 10 years and likely leave them with no health care coverage,

Less than a week before Opening Day, angry bondholders have forced the nearly bankrupt operator of the Yankee Stadium garages to give up some control - and maybe even level some garages.

Parking revenues are so dismal for Bronx Parking Development Company the firm has had to dip into its debt reserves for the second time in a year just to pay the interest on the $237 million it owes in tax-exempt bonds.

On top of that, the firm - a nonprofit the Bloomberg administration selected and the state subsidized to operate the stadium garages - owes the city $17 million in back rent and taxes for the 21 acres of public land it uses.

Ever since it opened under BPDC management two years ago, the 9,000-space parking system has operated at barely 60% capacity, even on game days. Meanwhile, its operating expenses have run twice what was expected.

"The public will never see a dime of rent and taxes from this project as it now exists," said one official close to the garage company.

Company directors agreed in a meeting Monday night to a set of demands from the bondholders in exchange for a one-year "waiver" from a complete default and takeover, a board source said.

They agreed to give the bondholders a seat on the board, to pay the fees of bondholder lawyers and to fire the company's existing parking consultant, Desman Associates.

The board also agreed to furnish weekly financial reports and to refrain from spending any additional money unless approved by the bondholders' designee.

City representatives on the board from the Parks Department and from the Economic Development Corporation voted for the changes.

"The agreement will give BPDC and the bondholders time to evaluate potential remedies to the current shortfall," EDC director Seth Pinsky said.

"Over the next year we will be in discussions with all parties involved to evaluate potential alternatives, and should those parties agree, all options will be considered."

One option that Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. has been advocating is to tear down one of the big garages at 153rd St. and build a new hotel.

"That would at least bring in real jobs and development to the Bronx, not just a bunch of garages that sit empty most of the year," an official close to Diaz said.

Bronx Parking has raised the price for stadium parking this year - to $48 for valet parking and $35 for self-parking. The Yankees open the season at The Stadium Thursday against Detroit.

That will obviously lead more Yankees fans to abandon its lots - especially since Gateway Mall Shopping Center a few blocks from the stadium will be charging $23 on game days for parking.

No one should forget that this boondoggle came about because the Yankees - who have no involvement in the garages - put a gun to the city's head. They demanded a 9,000-space parking system from the city and the state as part of agreeing to build a new stadium.

Now, those garages have become a financial swamp for taxpayers.

And right next door, Yankee Stadium raked in $396 million in its first year of operation in 2009 - just from the sale of tickets and luxury suites.

That's more than double the old stadium's revenues in 2007. And it's $140 million more than the Yankees projected.

(March 24, 2011) Bronx, NY – The Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco), a nonprofit organization that provides hundreds of low-income families with beautiful, safe affordable housing, is deeply concerned about the proposed cuts for affordable housing in Governor Cuomo’s budget.

The Advantage Program -- a crucial rental subsidy for homeless families -- is at risk. Governor Cuomo's proposed Executive Budget withdraws all state and matching federal support for Advantage on April 1, 2011, and terminates the City of New York's authority to continue the program. Without this resource, more than 15,000 households are at risk of eviction.

This cut would not only send thousands of tenants back to city shelters, but it could also tank the nonprofit affordable housing providers that provide decent and permanent homes for families coming out of shelters, over 80% of whom are single mothers with young children.

The Advantage Housing subsidy (a stepchild of Section 8 vouchers) subsidizes the real costs of renting an apartment, above what welfare provides to tenants (which is less than 50% of what is considered affordable even in the Bronx).

Effective, stable permanent housing programs are more cost effective than prolonged shelter stays. Eliminating funding for Advantage would have terrible consequences for tenants and landlords, destabilizing communities and families. One-third of tenants in WHEDco’s two affordable housing developments in the Bronx previously lived in the shelter system, and many will be threatened by a recurrence of homelessness if the Advantage program is eliminated.

Eliminating the Advantage program would cost enormous sums in shelter expenses, eviction costs, loss of rental income for landlords and would have devastating effects on families.

The bottom line is that nonprofit affordable housing providers like WHEDco, who build permanent housing for formerly homeless families, will not be able to continue providing affordable housing for this population without subsidy programs like Advantage.

As stated by Nancy Biberman, WHEDco President, “This cut is a real double whammy. Like it or not, government relies on the non profit sector to do lots of work that we do better, and more economically, than government. Take away Advantage, and you pull the rug out from under our sector, in addition to the people who will likely lose their homes.”

Judge: N.J. School Aid Cuts Unconstitutional. Christie: So What?

March 23 (LPAC)--A judge appointed by the New Jersey Supreme

Court has ruled that cutting $1.6 billion from state aid to local

schools is unconstitutional. Gov. Muammar Christie has declined

to say if he would obey a court order to restore the funding. He

told NJ101.5 radio's ``Ask the Governor'' program that the state

doesn't have the money to restore the cuts, even if the court

orders him to do so.

Superior Court Judge Peter Doyne ruled March 22 that state

aid cuts have prevented school districts from providing the

``thorough and efficient'' education mandated by the state's

constitution, especially for the state's poorer children.

Christie's education `crats argued before the judge that the

state still provides a ``thorough and efficient'' education with

austerity funding. Others disagree. Garfield Superintendent of

Schools Nicholas Perrapato, for example, said the cuts have

``pulled the rug out'' from poorer districts such as his own,

northjersey.com (the {The Bergen Record} online) reports.

Garfield's funding has been cut by $3 million. And it has laid

off nearly 100 staff, eliminated many programs, and increased

class sizes.

But the solution is not yet coming from those who think they

are defending education: ``It would also be unfortunate if people

felt the need to blame anybody for this,'' said New Jersey

said on Wednesday that he had submitted his resignation to the

President after Parliament had earlier rejected his minority

Socialist government's latest austerity measures in a vote.

The rejection "had taken away from the government all

conditions to govern," Socrates said in a televised statement.

He said his government would remain in power in a caretaker

capacity.

All opposition parties voted for a resolution to reject the

measure's austerity plan proposed by Socrates. Only the

Socialists, who have 97 seats in the 230-seat parliament, voted

Franco-German Trade Union Summit Denounces the Destruction of

Labor Rights and Austerity

March 23, 2011 (Nouvelle Solidarité) -- The winds of Wisconsin

are visibly blowing in some parts of Europe. An unprecedented

Franco-German summit took place yesterday in Paris among French

and German trade union leaders who signed a joint declaration

denouncing the "Pact for the Euro," formerly branded the

"Competitivity Pact." The meeting in Paris yesterday will be

followed with an identical one in Berlin tomorrow.

Annelie Butenbach of the German trade union federation DGB

sided with leaders of the major French union federations, (FO,

CGT, CFDT, etc.) to denounce the "Pact for the Euro" adopted by

French President Sarkozy and German Chancellor Merkel on March 11

as a mere "diktat of the markets."

With the pact, the 17 member states of the Eurozone

committed themselves to a measures to inscribe debt ceilings in

their constitutions, to reconsider (i.e., abolish) adjustment of

wages for inflation, to link retirement age to demographic

evolutions, and to make the labor markets "more flexible."

"Two countries [France and Germany], in the context of a

summit of 11 member states [of the Eurozone], are trying to

impose on all 27 [members of the EU] a model of economic and

social destruction," said Pascal Pavageau of Force Ouvrière (FO)

at the press conference preceding the summit. "This diktat of

financial markets, a pact of the wolves of finance, embodies the

germ of an extremely far-reaching social explosion," he said.

Pretty much in line with those fighting in Wisconsin, in the

joint declaration, German and French unionists rejected the "wage

freeze which threatens the rules of national collective

bargaining" and the "automatic adjustment of pensions to the

demographic evolution."

To constitutionally limit the debts of European countries

"is irresponsible," said Butenbach. "It limits the powers of

governments to act and invest, and it imposes social cuts." A

Merkel-Sarkozy pact is unnecessary. What we need is an increased

economic and social convergence to be undertaken with a program

of innovation to promote jobs and growth instead of austerity

plans.

To protest the pact, Brussels police sources indicate, at

least 10,000 people will demonstrate in Brussels tomorrow. Other

demonstrations are planned in London against the cuts in public

spending and a Europe-wide international demonstration in

Budapest is planned for April 9.

"The struggle is only starting," said Marcel Grignard,

number two of the French CFDT federation. CGT Secretary General

Bernard Thibault said that "the pact, if adopted in its essence,

will form a protective shield for employers" against any

David against Goliath" headlines {Les Echos} in modest front-page

coverage of the legal victory of the German Mittelstand firm Ille

Paper Service against bank giant Deutsche Bank. The bank was

fined a half-million euros, yesterday, by the Federal Court of

Justice, Germany's highest court, based in Karlsruhe.

{Le Parisien} underlines that Deutsche was fined for the

motive of not having sufficiently informed its client about the

underlying risks of the loan, "an argument that could snowball."

Quoting the court ruling, the paper says the bank "failed in its

obligation of counsel ... in respect to a highly complex

product." Deutsche got the Ille firm hooked into a "spread

ladder swap" which "consists of swapping a long-term loan against

short-term loans, speculating on lower interest rates.

"Deutsche Bank has sold hundreds of such products to German

cities, such as Pforzheil or Hagen and to companies seeking to

lower the burden of their loans. Instead, they lost millions of

euros when the curves of the short-term interest rates revealed

themselves during the financial crisis.

"The decision of the Federal Court was very much awaited

while several cities and firms have pending suits against

Deutsche Bank and other financial corporations in similar cases.

Already now, Deutsche Bank is facing eight cases before the

Federal Court and 17 others before lower courts, admits the bank.

The amount of damages and interest claimed 'is very tiny,' says

the bank.

"But the claims would be only the tip of the iceberg as

compared to the extent of losses incurred by certain clients from

the credit derivatives, according to their lawyers. 'From my side

I think that the totality of losses reaches over a billion

euros,' stated Jochen Weck, the attorney for Ille Agence France

Presse (AFP). 'Deutsche Bank sold this type of product more than

700 times,' he added."

More important is the fact that the Federal Court "ruled

that there existed a 'conflict of interest', since [Deutsche

Bank] was making money while its client was losing money.

Deutsche Bank made EU80,000 at the expense of the Ille firm,"

said Weck. "It's a good ruling," attorney Klaus Nieding told AFP.

Nieding is representing 60 firms and communities that signed

similar contracts for a nominal value of EU160 million. "We are

also considering the possibility of reopening certain older

cases," he said.

The bankers are, of course, freaking out and calculating how

much money they risk losing if the ruling becomes a legal

precedent in all the pending cases that exist in Germany, France,

Italy and the United Kingdom and involve all major investment

banks, notably UBS, Dexia, JP Morgan, and "cash machine" number

one, Goldman Sachs. Udo Steffens, president of the Frankfurt

School of Finance, told AFP, "these cities want to make a profit,

they made bets and they lost? That's market economics. And now

they claim they didn't want to make bets."

decision of a German Court, serve as 'case law' for the rest of

Europe? The answer is, of course, no. However, the ruling of the

highest court of Germany against Deutsche Bank radically turns

the tables in the extremely sensitive case of loans and

There is a widespread effort on the part of the press to attempt to make a hero out of a woman, Rep. Giffords, who had the wrong policy on health care. An attempt is being made to use the case to attack Sarah Palin, who had targeted Giffords and 19 other Congressmen for defeat in the last election because of their vote for Obama's Nazi health bill. The Old Geezer said that this is a tip off that something is phony in the story being put forward now by people who support the Obama T-4 policy. Giffords was on the wrong side morally. The kid who shot her and others is clearly a nut, a psychotic. The Supreme Judicial Court in Boston, Mass. will issue a ruling as to whether foreclosures in the

state should be completely undone because securitization

"industry" practices violate real estate law governing how

mortgages may be transferred. This case could have global

ramifications." The case involved just two foreclosures -- one by

Wells Fargo, the other by US Bancorp -- but potentially may apply

to millions nationwide.

Today the Court found, in a decision by Justice Ralph D.

Gants, "We agree with the [lower court] judge that the

plaintiffs, who were not the original mortgagees, failed to make

the required showing that they were the holders of the mortgages

at the time of foreclosure.... There must be proof that the

assignment was made by a party that itself held the mortgage."

The decision ruled illegal, the foreclosure documentation

practices which "securitization" has made into {standard mass

practice} in Massachusetts and other states -- transferring title

to the foreclosing bank {after} it forecloses; transferring

mortgage titles into a trust pool {en blanc}, or without any new

owner being named; and skipping the county recordation of the

transfer. "These blank mortgage assignments were never recorded

and they were not legally recordable," the Court found.

Moreover, the court did not limit its ruling to prospective

effect; it also allowed it to be applied retroactively. So, many

thousands of already completed foreclosures by these banks are

voided, and can be challenged; title insurers may also have to

pay up. The Cambridge attorney of one of the homeowners, Paul

Collier, said the ruling reverts ownership of thousands of homes

back to those who lost them, at least temporarily.

Elsewhere, the New York Supreme Court has given 30 banks

until Jan. 19 to submit briefs and evidence as to why their

foreclosures in that state "should not be found illegal." The

Kansas Supreme Court has found the banks' Mortgage Electronic

Registration System (MERS) to be "akin to a straw man"; and

California and New Jersey have lower court decisions against the

banks being appealed to higher courts.

But the possibility is also rumored, that Republicans in

Congress will try to end-run the courts by a legislative act

attempting to make MERS legal, retroactively. The Obama White

House, reportedly, would back it.

another million jobs; it's another million jobs to do these

Company, originally, was 4 million jobs! And that pretty much

stays at the same rate, now: So therefore, we're talking about 6

million jobs, all of which are going to be funded under Federal

credit provisions.

The Federal credit provisions will have two places it goes

to: One, is the straight, direct Federal government intervention

into projects. Number two, you will have the effects on the

states, which will be doing things {in} the states, private

companies, as contractors will be doing things in the states, so

therefore, you're going to have a massive amount, of about 6

million jobs, of which the upper half of the qualifications on

the 6 million jobs, will be high technology.

Now, this means, that we are giving a sudden, almost instant

rescue, for the U.S. economy, by three particular actions: 1)

The Glass-Steagall itself; 2) You're going to have a project like

developing the states, a states-saving project; 3) You're going

to have a large-scale program, focused on about 6 million jobs,

to be set into motion fairly rapidly, very much the way the

Tennessee Valley Authority was set into motion, but this is a

different project, it's much larger, and so forth. But the same

financing and construction of these projects

the way history works.

China has begun research and development on a new

"super-speed" railway technology, an official with China's

Ministry of Railways (MOR) said Tuesday. The new technology will

increase the average speed of trains to over 310 mph (500 kph),

said MOR Chief Engineer He Huawu at conference held in central

China's Wuhan City.

Meanwhile, the 250-310 mph (400-500 kph) high-speed railway

technology is in its final phase of development, and the 235 mph

(380 kph) trains are already coming off production lines, he

added.

To go beyond the "super-speed" railroad technology, maglev

is required. China's maglev route connecting the Shanghai Airport

with the city has been in operation from before the opening of

Build a New Platform for the Economy

Amir Baradaran and his confrontational art show have done it again with Transient 2010. Amir’s short videos on the life and action of a cab driver will be on Taxi TV from Thurs. Sept. 9^th to Wed. Sept. 15^th. Although the yellow cab is a symbol of New York City, drivers are quite anonymous people, often from third-world countries, and even more edgy, half of them are Muslim, or at least of Muslim-origins. Many live in neighborhoods such as Harlem, Jamaica, and Bedford-Stuyvesant, from which they go to their work in posh districts of downtown Manhattan. The drivers are further separated from passengers by a Plexiglas partition, meant to protect them, but also serving to enforce their isolation. Baradaran used a hand-held camera to take basic moving shots of the driver, focusing on the gaze of the driver as seen reflected in the rear view mirror and at the passenger as well as traffic.

I know that a lot of you dudes are living in high rise apartments don't always have this worry, but what if you live in a house or 2 or 3 family townhouse. That is when you really need, as in got to have it, some Cheap venetian blinds or curtains.

The consoling thought is that a good set of venetian blinds can be colorful and attractive looking on a window, for both inside and outside the house. It is a good investment in keeping from getting too much sun exposure on your expensive and nice furniture and carpets. So get with this really neat decor idea that is a perfect match for the new great economic depression. Of course if you are a really rich dude, you may need a whole lot more security than some good curtains or venetian blinds.

"I wouldn't write the names of the people who came to an event down. I would write the names of the people who didn't come, because you wouldn't want them around you in a difficult situation." Paterson otherwise called the House Ethics Committee's actions "political." "This is not a court," Paterson said. "This is a legislative body. It is very political, based on the fact that it's an election year. So, in other words, the same kind of ethics charge that would mean something in the odd- numbered year means something different in the even-numbered year, and that in and of itself is unethical."

Even the NYC, and NY State Democratic establishment has enough brains to know that Obama and Pelosi, using the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) are trying to frame up Cong. Charles Rangel. Andrew Romanoff, the former Speaker of the Colorado House, who is challenging incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, has posted a press release vowing to push both Glass-Steagall and the derivatives regulation if elected. The release, dated May 21, read, in part: "When I am in the U.S. Senate, I will fight to restore a Glass-Steagall wall between commercial and investment banking. I will fight to bring derivatives into the light of day—and close the loopholes that contributed to this calamity. And I will fight to prevent banks from ever becoming too big to fail. Senator Bennet and a majority of his colleagues refused to take these steps." In a conversation recently with a LaRouche PAC activist, Romanoff had complained that the media had refused to report on his promotion of Glass-Steagall. Romanoff has earned the hatred of the Obama White House, for releasing the text of emails sent by Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina, offering him three paying Administration jobs in return for his not challenging incumbent Bennet for the Senate nomination. Romanoff released the emails just a few days after the White House had run their "Bill Clinton did it" damage control coverup of the similar bribe offer to Rep. Sestak (D-Pa.). Merkel Bans Many Derivatives in Germany

Germany's financial regulatory agency Bafin banned certain derivatives trades for one year or longer on May 18th. It banned naked short sales of Eurozone countries' bonds, naked credit default swaps (CDS) against those bonds, and naked short sales of the stocks of ten major German banks and insurance companies.

Speaking the next day in the German parliament, the Bundestag, Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she had been forced to act in this way against what she called "an existential threat to financial stability in Europe and even the world."

Money is not value. Money does not define value. What defines value is physical, physical economic. And the key to physical economic, is what? It's creativity. The kind of creativity we associate with Classical artistic composition, and
with physical science -- competent physical science, of which there's very little, today! Hmm? We killed off competent science. We saved some of it, with the space program, the activation of it by Kennedy and company. But then, that was crushed! The U.S. economy has been collapsing ever since the end of World War II! It was already collapsed by Truman. It's been collapsing ever since: You have this spurt around Kennedy. But everything has been a collapse. And the spurt around Kennedy was two things: The defense of the steel industry, against those who
wanted to shut it down; and secondly, the space program.

The space program was the highest generator of productivity, we've had. And it was particularly after the Kennedy period, when it was accelerated as a program, but was shut down in '67-68 -- before the Moon shot! The Moon shot was done on based on
technology which had already been developed. And the rate of development of technology had collapsed, began to collapse in '67-68, with fiscal year 67-68, where whole sections of the research program were shut down! Especially in Massachusetts,
for example, the Route 128, which was a big factor -- shut down!

The NY Times is nervous about the Tea Party rallies and support. It is not that these people are so great, but any independent thinking is feared in the midst of an economic collapse. So the NY Times writes today, 4/15/10-

Tea Party supporters are wealthier and more well-educated than the general public, and are no more or less afraid of falling into a lower socioeconomic class, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

The 18 percent of Americans who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters tend to be Republican, white, male, married and older than 45.

They hold more conservative views on a range of issues than Republicans generally. They are also more likely to describe themselves as “very conservative” and President Obama as “very liberal.”

And while most Republicans say they are “dissatisfied” with Washington, Tea Party supporters are more likely to classify themselves as “angry.”

This is an all-time high number of DEA agents in Afghanistan, but it doesn't come close to what is needed against the traffic. And of the 130,000 U.S. troops (not all of them are there yet), and an even greater number of civilian "support" personnel and contractors, only a limited number will be assigned to assist the DEA mission.

At the beginning of April, DEA Acting Administrator Michele Leonhart, who has been a longstanding competent voice in identifying narco-terrorism, made a three-day visit to Afghanistan, which included a roundtable with reporters at the U.S. embassy in Kabul. The Russian language website afghanistan.ru reported on the trip, noting that Leonhart declared that the DEA objective is to "eliminate" the connection between narcotics and terrorism.

But Leonhart also confirmed that eradication of the drug crop is off the table — as ordered by Obama in March 2009. Leonhart was asked at her press roundtable about the plans for eradication in Marjah, where Gen. Stanley McChrystal declared recent "victory", while surrounded by poppy fields and buildings hiding heroin labs.

All and all, I would say that the young artist, actually 33-years old, Amir Baradaran has given the old artist, the aged over 60 Abramovic, a real run for her money. These events occurred on Friday, March 12th, but now they are all on film on the internet.

Marina Abramovic, vs. the Other Artist

Amir Baradaran has defined a new sphere of art by making a guerilla intervention on the Marina Abramovic show at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). This has sparked a sort of "Poetic Quarrel". In particular, Abramovic performs her piece called “The Artist is Present,” but now, the other artist Baradaran is present for a time as well. The Abramovic show itself is a great retrospective on the work of Ms. Abramovic as an artist who uses her presence and confrontation with the public as her actual work of art. Abramovic is known for inviting the presence of the public without moving or speaking while having objects on a table from household objects to a pistol.

Amir Baradaran intervenes into the exhibit as “the other artist.” In this way, by his clothing and expression, he introduces new ideas into the event. This is a welcome addition, because Abramovic is inviting the public to join and engage the performance of “the Artist is Present.” In fact, Baradaran’s intervention can be viewed as a 4-act play, that took place last Friday in NYC.

In the first act, Baradaran offers marriage to Ms. Abramovic in a play on how Abramovic sees the identity of her work as performance art, and the true body of her work. Now Baradaran offers marriage to show his love for that body of work. Abramovic is intervened on in a low voice, as part of a Persian offer of marriage, though not necessarily of a permanent kind, while Baradaran is wearing a flowing red dress. Next, Baradaran is in a suit jacket, but has over his face a series of veils made out of canvas. Each of these veils has a message written upon it. In this way, Baradaran complies with the desires of the artist Abramovic in avoiding verbal communication, and yet still communicating. The first veil has written, “In- out.” This conjures up the fundamental question of what defines the artist as being in the museum, or approved by society, or on the contrary, on the outs and not recognized. The second message is more amusing saying, “I am a nurse from New Zealand.” This defines Abramovic’s desire to be an anonymous figure when she wants to, and not have to get unnecessary attempt, in effect to escape from her fame and success. Finally the last veil states, “Non-resident alien,” which is perhaps the most difficult aspect of identity. The alien is one who is not accepted, though internally one who still has a human identity, though as an artist he is confronted with regulations, and in this case the near presence of security guards.

Baradaran returns to the Abramovic exhibit for the Third Act of his intervention. Here is again is sitting at the table, but this time chants a Sufi chant in Arabic, a foreign step beyond his Persian identity. Baradaran is drawn off into mysticism, while contemplating, but also changing the Abramovic event of “the Artist is Present.” Baradaran is trying to be as beautiful as possible, playing on one of Abramovic’s works “Art is Beautiful, Artist Must be Beautiful” and trying with his prayer to be a beautiful and spiritual as possible.

A final fourth act is added to Baradaran’s interventional exhibit of “The Other Artist is Present,” but this time it is outside the museum. Now Baradaran is outside the museum, but in a sense having become the mirror image of the exhibit inside, seating at a replica wooden table. Now, the other artist is seated, and an independent focus of public attention, with many people photographing him with their cell phone cameras. Baradaran is outside of the museum, but has penetrated inside the art exhibit as an outsider. Though Baradaran is now beyond the glass, he is fully participating in the artistic experience of Abramavic, only a few feet away from him, inside beyond the glass.
