David Lamb, the creator of "Platanos and Collard Greens" has a new play out called "Auction Block to Hip Hop." It is being billed as a critical view of the negative stereotypes of Afro-American women in the Hip Hop scene. The show began Dec 16 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center. It seems to be pretty hot and heavy. For example, a Grammy Award for the hit tune "Pimping Isn't Easy"? Worth checking out.
