Harlem, Pray for Bank Separation
Hey Harlem, your local church may already be for Glass Steagall Act bank separation and you don't even know it. Time to get in the groove with the World Council of Churches statement below.
http://www.harlemlook.net/2014/01/separate-speculation-from-your-bank.html
is the word.
http://www.harlemlook.net/2014/01/separate-speculation-from-your-bank.html
is the word.
At a conference held in Sao Paulo,
Brazil in October 2012, the World Council of Churches issued a call for
the institution of the Glass-Steagall principle on a global basis. The
conference, one of three held that year in a continuing response to the
collapse of 2007-8, was titled "International Financial Transformation
for the Economy of Life," and was likely held parallel to the G-20
conference, also in Sao Paulo that year.
In a statement dated October 5, 2012, the WCC called for "Immediate and medium-term actions" to regulate the financial sector, one of the points being that, "Basic banking activities of deposit taking and lending to enterprises and households should be tightly regulated and separated from more risky activity (as in the United Strates in the 1930s with the Glass-Steagall Act)." (emphasis in original) In addition, they called for regulation of "speculative activity" and "the lightly regulated shadow banking sector," mandatory capital reserves; institution of a financial transaction tax, and breaking up the large banks.
Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the WCC has also taken an active role in opposing the destruction of European nations, issuing, in November, in conjunction with the Conference of European Churches, a call to the EU to address the issue of youth unemployment in Greece.

Detroit Now, Harlem Is Next
Read this interview, Harlem. It is from Lamar Lemmons of Detroit, Michigan, by Bill Roberts of larouchepac. It shows how the cities, the poor are targeted. Obama did not want to be an FDR. He is sort of another Bill Clinton administration, but without any of the positive features. It's true, Glass Stegall or die.
Lamar Lemmons (President Detroit School Board, former State Representative MI-3)
· Bill Roberts (former candidate for Congress MI-11, LaRouchePAC Policy Committee)
July 21, 2013
MATTHEW OGDEN: We're on the line here today with Mr. Lamar Lemmons, who's currently the President of the Detroit Board of Education. He is a former state legislator in the Michigan state legislature, who served from 1999 until 2007; and after serving that term came to run for the Detroit Board of Education, receiving a majority of the citywide at large vote, and was later elected by his colleagues to serve as the president of that body. When Mr. Lamar Lemmons was state legislator, he served as the representative of the east of Detroit. I'm also joined on the line today by Bill Roberts who is a former congressional candidate, who ran in 2012 for the Congressional Democratic nomination in the 11th District of Michigan, and Bill Roberts has been right in the middle of the situation in Detroit over the past recent years. He is on record testifying to Detroit City Council saying that the necessary solution had to be to pass Glass-Steagall on a national level, and to immediately institute a Franklin Roosevelt style emergency reconstruction of, not just Detroit, but the nation as a whole.
However, because that policy has not yet been adopted, we now received the news on Thursday of last week, that Detroit has become the largest city in the history of the United States to file for Chapter 9 bankruptcy. This came on the heels of several months of an emergency financial manager by the name of Kevyn Orr, negotiating and threatening city workers, city pensioners, to take a major cut in their pension funds and in their obligations that they city owed to them, using blackmail, saying if they didn't agree to voluntarily take a cut, the city would be forced to enter into bankruptcy.
And in fact, that is what has happened. The bankruptcy petition has been filed, in violation of the Michigan state Constitution, and now this is receiving national headlines everywhere, and people are acknowledging that this is something which stretches beyond Detroit, and is threatening many cities in the nation as a whole.
So, Lamar, thank you for joining us. Let me ask you first off, if you can just give us some background on what the situation is there on the ground in Detroit from your vantage point, and what your involvement in the situation leading up to today has been?
LAMAR LEMMONS: Well, first of all, let me say this: I, too, am supportive of an FDR like administration and as a matter of fact, I had really hoped that Barack Obama would be the second coming of FDR, and not a rehashed Bill Clinton Administration, which is what he is in my opinion, unfortunately.
It is imperative that Glass-Steagall be reinstituted, and I thought that the President understood that. I also thought that the President would institute a massive urban policy, the likes that Roosevelt introduced with the WPA and the Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930s, which would help stimulate our economy. Detroit has been in a depression for decades now, -- the country may have been in a recession, but Detroit has been in a depression. The banks have plundered and pillaged, and we're the capital in the world of abandoned home and property: There are more abandoned buildings and properties in the city of Detroit, than anywhere else in the world.

NYU, Columbia U, Hopium Pushers
The whole education hopium scam is more and more exposed. Near Harlem, Columbia University is biting bigger and bigger. Then downtown, New York University (NYU) is eating the Village. http://www.villagevoice.com/2013-02-20/news/nyu-expansion?utm_source=Newsletters&utm_medium=email
Yes, they are disgusting and part of the speculative insanity. NYU's link to a global campus at Abu Dhabi just makes it plain. What is Abu Dhabi? An oil hole that is the whore house and dope money laundry mat for the British Empire and Saudi Arabia, another member of the oligarchical beast.

Harlem, Sue over LIBOR Banks
LIBOR banks beware, you can sued by cities and by Harlem dudes.
The New York Times reports that there is now a pile-on of cities, states, and municipalities to lawsuits filed in Manhattan Federal Court against the banks that set the LIBOR rate, for having ripped off millions from them. These are cities and other government units that have torn up their budgets, laid people off, and in some cases been forced into bankruptcy. This is hugely explosive politically, especially if properly channeled to putting an end to the financial system which created and thrives on such misery, through LaRouche's Glass-Steagall policies.
The City of Baltimore and a pension fund in Connecticut, the City of New Britain's Firefighters' and Police Benefit Fund, are the first to sue, claiming the LIBOR manipulation cost them millions, according to NPR.
"Now, cities, states, and municipal agencies nationwide, including Massachusetts, Nassau County on Long Island, and California's public pension system, are looking at whether they suffered similar losses and are weighing legal action," the Times reports. Peter Shapiro, an investment advisor to Baltimore and other cities, told the Times that "about 75% of major cities have contracts linked to this" — the LIBOR fixing. "Unambiguously, state and local government agencies lost money because of the manipulation of LIBOR," said Shapiro. "The number is likely to be very, very big."
The banks targetted include Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and Barclays. Darrell Duffie, a Stanford professor of finance, estimates that these lawsuits could result in the banks' having to pay out tens of billions of dollars, an estimate in line with recent report by Nomura Equity Research.
The Times story emphasized the losses to cities, etc. from transactions involving interest-rate swaps, just barely mentioning pension funds which lost income on their investments if interest rates were held artificially low.
The rather unlimited potential of these lawsuits was pointed out a week ago by, among others, the Seeking Alpha blog and the NY Times "Dealbook" blog. UBS and Barclays have already admitted to wrong-doing in their settlements with government authorities, and are cooperating with authorities, increasing the pressure on their co-conspirator banks to do the same. These admissions of misconduct will open the floodgates to civil lawsuits, since the proof of wrong-doing is already on the record. This also opens to door to a massive number of suits under U.S. federal anti-trust and racketeering statutes. Both the Sherman Anti-trust Act and the Racketeer-Influences and Corruption Organizations (RICO) Act allow for triple damages, and RICO furthermore allows for recovery of attorneys fees, an incentive for the filing of class-action cases.

Harlem and Bronx NY dudes, there is a doubt if civilization can survive. You cannot trust yourself. It is the impulse of degeneration, Harlem dudes. Not just the thieving banks.

Z'novia Lounge is now Winners, Bronx NY
Z'novia couldn't take the heat, so Sheila B turned it into winners and now they are on Broadway in the Bronx, just south of the Yonkers line by West 262nd street. Guess they are not going to advertise with me anymore. It's a bar, it's a restaurant, it's a lounge, it's Winners. I guess you are supposed to go to the Empire City casino at Yonkers raceway too. Pick the number right, win a zillion tonight.

To Obama with Hate
They used to sing, to Sir with Love, but now it is to Obama with Hate. Get it Harlem Dudes? Blame it on Obama's white devil mother.
eports from both the West Virginia and Texas Democratic Party conventions LaRouche activists attended this weekend had three things in common: widespread support for Glass-Steagall; no love for Obama; but very little courage to challenge the Obama diktats pushed by Party leaders. The one exception was West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, who was being threatened with rebuke or censure for statements he has made against Obama. Though he made no overt criticism of Obama in his speech, he pointedly left Obama out when he read the roll of great Democratic Presidents, in which he included FDR, Truman (sic), JFK and Bill Clinton. It was lost on no one that he excluded mention of Obama. A resolution passed, with almost no debate, directed at Manchin and Gov. Tomlin, resolving that "all state and national candidates must publicly support and endorse all party office holders for state and national office, including the head of the Democratic Party, and our President, Barack Obama."
The LaRouche activists attending the West Virginia convention got 111 signatures on a Glass-Steagall resolution. At one point, a labor official was directing delegates over to us, telling them to sign the Glass-Steagall petition.
Delegates to the Texas Democratic convention in Houston were greeted with a page one op ed in the Houston Chronicle which said, "Why bother?" It characterized the party as irrelevant and defeated. The small number of delegates attending showed some life, as many greeted Kesha Rogers (the just-elected Democratic nominee for the 22nd district) by saying "We support you, I'm glad you won, keep fighting", as they scurried away, so no one would see them. On Obama, the attitude expressed was we agree with you, he's an SOB, but he's better than the other SOB! There was recognition of the European crisis, some were aware of the war danger, most supported Glass-Steagall, but no one challenged a State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) resolution which was rammed through, which said in effect that Kesha Rogers is not a Democrat, so no Democrat should support her. Supporters of Kesha Rogers were greeted with support however when they held a rally outside the convention center Saturday morning. Despite official orders to keep her out, Kesha did address both the Veterans Caucus and the Progressive Caucus.
Kesha is the greatest, LaRouche is right, and Obama sucks.

Mississippi Mud and Harlem.
The State of Mississippi is a mess after a series of disasters. Harlem NY, you better watch out, you could be next. Or are all the refugees heading this way?
The Vicksburg, Mississippi flood crest today
may be about 57.1 ft, a little lower than feared, but still a
record, or near-record. In the state of Mississippi, there are
4,800 people displaced, including about 2,000 in Vicksburg. Some
are on cots in shelters, some in trailers in parking lots. In
Tunica, at the lot at the Tunica Arena and Exposition Center,
there is a displacement shelter. The number of displaced will go
up to 6,000 at least, in this one state, says Mississippi's
Emergency Management Agency.
One fatality so far, a drowning in Vicksburg.
The Coast Guard is trying to allow some barge transit. Barge
traffic was closed yesterday along the stretch of the Mississippi
north of Louisiana, but it is opened today. The wakes from the
barge tows pressure the levees, already threatened by prolonged
floodwater pressure.
HALF THE USA GRAIN EXPORTS transit the Mississippi. Under
the decrepit economy, there is no alternative transportation. The
trains have been so widely taken down. And also, the cartel
grain- controllers have centralized everything to the extreme,
e.g., in New Orleans elevators and depots.
THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI is being obliterated by the
quadruple-whammy of tornadoes (including a super cell) in April;
last Summer's BP oil damage to coastal activity; before that,
Katrina's wipe-out of the coast (destruction like the Japanese
tsunami, said Mike Parker); and now the flooding.
The state budget crisis--as in all states--has come on top
of the fact that Mississippi's state workforce already ranks 50th
in the nation for low pay, and was being cut back in numbers over
the past couple years. (Details available). Now state revenue
will be barely anything at all.

Heads Will Roll, Harlem
Hey Harlem dudes, heads will roll, it could be French Revolution time. The Republicans may have won seats, but they do not have any alternative to the hyperinflationary policy of the Federal Reserve Bank. So, which means, that we do not have a policy, which has any durability coming out of this election. We don't have anything
presently, in the governments in Europe, which is going to survive. These places are about to die, and if it dies on one side of the Atlantic, it'll die on both sides of the Atlantic.
We have, also, the crisis represented by the Green movement, which is better called the Brown movement: We call them the Brownies, not edible. And the Brown movement says, "no high
energy-flux density technology": Which means, the civilization is doomed! And we're turning the entire civilization, immediately the trans-Atlantic area, into a cemetery. A cemetery of nations:
They can have a policy, but they can't walk, they can't talk, or they're still uttering death rattles, but they can't talk.
So, how can they, this week, or in the days ahead beyond that, how can they make a policy? They {have} no policy! Those who have inherited power, are like the guys who are going to the
guillotine tomorrow: Power today, guillotine tomorrow. Heads chopped off.
So therefore, we have a situation, in which, the minority, which includes me and my friends, politically, both here and implicitly in Europe, and also in Asia, those who are implicitly, in a sense my friends, in the sense that they have policies which concur with my intention; that is, the effect concurs with my
intention. And goes in the same direction: High technology,
improvement of food supplies, raising the standard of living,
going to technologies, which raise man's power to exist, that
sort of thing. Therefore, unless the policies which I would put
in, and with people who think in a direction similar to what I'm
doing would put in, these policies are the only thing that would
work. Otherwise, if somebody has a policy contrary to what I
would endorse, now, they're finished! They're finished before
they start, because they're going to take their nation down with
'em.

Fighting Charlie Rangel Doesn't Give Up
The NY Politicians came out to support fighting Charlie Rangel, target of the unconstitutional Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) witchhunt. Governor David Paterson (himself politically deep-sixed by President Obama), emceed the Rangel gala last night, and commented on the John Gambling Show on New York local radio today, that people should take note of who did NOT show up for the event. "I wouldn't write the names of the people who came to an event down. I would write the names of the people who didn't come, because you wouldn't want them around you in a difficult situation." Paterson otherwise called the House Ethics Committee's actions "political." "This is not a court," Paterson said. "This is a legislative body. It is very political, based on the fact that it's an election year. So, in other words, the same kind of ethics charge that would mean something in the odd- numbered year means something different in the even-numbered year, and that in and of itself is unethical."
Even the NYC, and NY State Democratic establishment has enough brains to know that Obama and Pelosi, using the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) are trying to frame up Cong. Charles Rangel. Prominent New York Democrats attended a combination fundraiser/80th birthday gala for the embattled Harlem Congressman last night. Many of them made public statements in support of Rangel, making the point that he is one politician who has never forgotten America's "forgotten man."
Not only Harlem, NY, but Bronx and beyond love Charlie Rangel.

99ers Rally in New York for Survival
We could be in desperate straits soon, Harlem and Bronx dudes. That is why we need to get the Glass- Steagall bill to stop the bailout, and separate deposit banking from investment speculation. We can outlaw derivatives or simply stop insuring them. Then, after Obama is out, we can build the Nawapa project, the famous water from Alaska project, and put millions back to work, start and save private contracting companies, and start being the United States again... before it's too late.
Get down with Larouchepac and into the groove, baby.
No wonder Obama wants to let Pelosi and the unconstitutional OCE lynch Cong. Charlie Rangel. Hey Harlem dudes, you are not the only one who has it rough. Now have you figured out why Obama must go? Don't wait to become a 99er. The 99ers are people who have exhausted their 99 weeks of unemployment and now are living with relatives or near desperation. The 99ers are a new organization sponsored by certain trade union network, and their plight is real. They demonstrated on Wall St. today in New York City, NY. Some say that "even McDonald's won't hire me." Time to get down with the movement now.

Infrastructure Now, Harlem
Hey Harlem and Bronx dudes. Time to learn some science and save the United States. Build the NAWAPA project- the water from Alaska project. We are facing a crisis of human culture, of which the current president and his predecessor are merely exemplary. It is time that we analyzed more deeply the roots of the erroneous thinking which has led us so deeply into this current disaster, in order that we might avert it in the only way possible: by turning our sights once again towards humanity’s future, and returning to the cultural-philosophical roots of a true science of physical economy.
When man “builds infrastructure“ he is not simply placing some object called infrastructure into an empty box. He is actually reorganizing the physical space-time of the biosphere, as a system, by transforming and redirecting the biogenic flows through the biosphere, allowing it to attain to higher and higher levels of energy flux density. The simplest example of this is the introduction of farming and animal husbandry: the apples, corn, and livestock of today are far different, and far more efficient in terms of energy density, than their wild counterparts which reflect the state in which man first encountered them.

Hey Harlem, Fight for Glass-Steagall
AN 8th CANDIDATE FOR GLASS-STEAGALL—A FIGHT THE LYM CANDIDATES ARE LEADING. Former Congressman Tom Campbell, running in the Republican primary for the nomination to oppose Sen. Barbara Boxer, attacks the Dudd bill on his campaign website and declares: “We should have never repealed Glass-Steagall.... I favor restoring Glass-Steagall.” As a Congressman in 1999, Campbell voted against its repeal. Also note the mass demonstration in San Francisco California against Obama and Barbara Boxer. People are in motion, people in motion, so whether are not you have the flowers in your hair, get with the movement. The banks must be reorganized and separated from the mad financial derivatives.

Harlem Gets it on against the Speculators
Hey Harlem, want to rip off Goldman Sachs' balls? Then get it on for Glass-Steagall, under the McCain-Cantwell amendment. Hey, Obama is a worse racist for the British Empire than McCain ever was, and McCain is showing he is an American patriot for the Glass-Steagall bill, to separate investment, speculative games from the bank deposits, the deposit banks.

May 17, 2010 (LPAC)—LPAC-TV has posted a new 13-minute video on the website, "LaRouche on the Record: Glass-Steagall or Die," which succinctly reviews Lyndon LaRouche's unique, leading role in the decisive battle to reimpose the Glass-Steagall standard in the U.S. and internationally. In its concluding section, it presents Lyn's call, delivered at his May 8 webcast, for an all-out mobilization to ram the policy through:
"Go with this Glass-Steagall reform, now! Push it through, ruthlessly... If we do it, we can win. The potential is there. But we have to do it. We have to insist that everybody goes and supports this. As far as we're concerned, every patriotic American will support this Glass-Steagall reform. If they don't do it, if they're not full-bent on doing it, then they're not really patriots. Because we need this strategically, to save the United States! We need this to save the world. If we are saved by this action, we will save the world. As poor and miserable as we are, as a factor in world history, when the other side is much poorer than we are, in terms of resources and capability, we can win. So, let's go out there and win. And beat these bastards."
The bastards—Obama's British masters—have delivered an explicit threat to the United States, that they consider Glass-Steagall an act of "hostility" against them. And Obama is, lawfully, set to fight against Glass-Steagall to the death. But Obama, Lyn elaborated in discussions yesterday, is now being swamped by a problem which even he is probably smart enough to realize has him boxed in. Things that were meant to work, and in the past have worked, are not working now. As a result, there is real desperation in their camp. The whole situation can backfire on them, because the usual methods just don't work anymore. And they are running out of time to produce results, as the Cantwell- McCain Glass-Steagall amendment moves towards a vote on the Senate floor, in the early part of this coming week.
Their problem is that the usual tactics of terrifying people into line, are now just getting people angry, and can produce a backfire effect—as (soon to be former) Sen. Bob Bennett of Utah can tell you all about. Normal things just don't work anymore. Just how successful that "not working" will be, Lyn said, remains to be seen. We will have to find out the hard way, by our focussed mobilization to ram through the Glass-Steagall bill. The coming weeks will be critical—perhaps the most decisive that any of us have ever lived through. Last week's rapid-paced developments saw Lyn's May 8 webcast, at exactly the point that the Eurozone was melting down; the lunatic super-TARP attempted bailout with $1 trillion-plus in funny-money, accompanied by fascist austerity; and the placement of the Cantwell-McCain amendment on the Senate agenda, forced by a growing mass strike uproar that is reflected in 78% popular support for the measure. So get it on, and screw Obama!
