1) US/NATO v. Russia

Two former NATO commanders, Breedlove and Stavridis, argue, in a new report published by RUSI, that NATO needs tot ake steps in the North Atlantic comparable to and in support of the actions it is taking in eastern Europe. “The North Atlantic is NATO’s lifeblood; it is the trans-Atlantic link,” Breedlove wrote in the RUSI report. “After two decades of relative calm, we now see a growing Russian threat to this region. The North Atlantic has become the testing area for Russia’s increasingly sophisticated submarines and aircraft.” Breedlove said that Russia has developed “offensive long-range, high-precision capabilities and is building high-end maritime capabilities that could deny NATO members freedom of maneuver at sea.” The RUSI report, says Stars and Stripes, argues that NATO has overlooked the North Atlantic maritime area, focusing instead on other areas, including Afghanistan, tensions in Ukraine and an alliance effort during the past two and half years to build up land forces along its eastern borders with Russia. “NATO must understand that because the North Atlantic plays an important part in Russian military strategic calculations — as evident in its growing naval and air force laydown — it is essential that the region become more central to NATO’s own planning, deployments and preparations,” Stavridis wrote in his contribution to the report.
To the Russians, this is nothing more than another exercise in NATO fear mongering. "All work is paid for, and this report is no exception. How objective it is and the competency of the person who prepared it is another issue. It's one thing if he has tried to give an objective picture, but if he wanted to spread some fear and think up some stories, that's quite another and it seems to me that in this case, it's most likely the second one," Nikolai Topornin, an associate professor of European Law at the Russian Foreign Ministry's Moscow State Institute of International Relations, told Radio Sputnik, in apparent reference to Breedlove. "The man has simply set himself the task of telling everyone that Russia was violating some kind of strategic standards, is strengthening its military presence, including naval and may constitute some kind of threat," Topornin told Radio Sputnik.

2) Syria and the War On ISIS

Rex Tillerson will be convening a meeting in Washington on March 22 to discuss the war against ISIS. Russia and Iran, two countries with forces directly engaged against ISIS in Syria won‛t be invited, however. Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented that it is quite possible to discuss the fight against Daesh without Russia's participation, but it is impossible to defeat them without Russia. Evgeny Satanovsky, head of the Moscow-based Middle East Institute, however, does note that there is US-Russian military cooperation in Syria, but that Trump doesn‛t want to discuss it because of the domestic political climate in Washington.
Fars News, meanwhile, citing something called Hawar news, reports that things aren‛t going swimmingly between the Turks and their proxies in the FSA. Hawar news quoted informed sources as saying that at least sixty Ankara-backed militants in al-Rai town in Northern Aleppo have dropped ties with the Euphrates Shield Operation over low salary and Turkish Army's indifferences to the promises it made to assist the militants.
And a senior official of the PYD warns that Turkey wants to occupy parts of northern Syria. "The territory that Turkey wants to advance to belongs to the Syrian state. These lands are part of Syria's sovereign system. Attacking these lands means attacking a sovereign state," said Ewwas Eli, responsible for foreign relations of the PYD's branch in Kobani. "Turkey wants to occupy Syria."
Meanwhile, the US State Department has declared Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham in a statement published on Friday. The reasoning is simple. The leader of HTS is Mohammad Al-Julani, commander-in-chief of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham, which was Jabhat al Nusra, which was Al Qaeda, and therefore should still be considered Al Qaeda. Al Masdar published the US statement in Arabic, but I can‛t find it in English.

3) Israel v. Iran

When Netanyahu was in Moscow, last week, he reportedly told Putin that any truce in Syria should see the departure of Iranian and Iranian-backed militias from the country. “We do not want to see Shia Islamic terrorism led by Iran step in to replace Sunni Islamic terrorism,” Netanyahu told the Russian President. “Iran continues attempts to destroy the Jewish state. They speak of this openly and write this in black and white in their newspapers. According to The Independent and other reports, IRGC militias are on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights in the form of a Shiite paramilitary group called the “Golan Liberation Brigade.” Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, an Iraqi force backed by Iran, is “ready to take action to liberate Golan” from Israeli occupation, according to spokesman quoted by Iranian state media this week. “I made it clear [ti Putin] that regarding Syria, while Israel is not opposed that there should be an agreement there, we strongly oppose the possibility that Iran and its proxies will be left with a military presence in Syria under such an agreement,” Netanyahu said.
While Iranian-backed militias in Syria could probably cause trouble, it seems unlikely to me that they could come anywhere close to invading and capturing the Israeli occupied part of the Golan Heights. They would get pulverized before they got very far.

According to a report published on Saturday in Politico, the sudden decision by President Obama to renew plans to arm Syrian rebels fighting against the Islamic State was driven by Saudi Arabia. According to the account, Obama’s White House counter-terrorism advisor Lisa Monaco was in Saudi Arabia last weekend, where she got a commitment from the Kingdom to provide training bases for the Syrian rebels. She raced back to Washington and reportedly briefed President Obama personally in the Oval Office on Tuesday morning. On the basis of the Saudi promise, Obama met with Congressional leaders and got them to approve an added $500 million in aid to the rebels, to be included in the continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through December. The adding of the $500 million in support to the rebels, along with the leaking of the Saudi offer to host training bases, caused a backlash on Capitol Hill and strengthened the hands of those Members of Congress demanding that Obama formally get Congressional authorization for further military actions against the Islamic State.

With momentum building for the declassification of the 28 pages of the original 9/11 Joint Congressional Inquiry report detailing Saudi complicity with the hijackers, and with more and more evidence surfacing of the Saudi funding of the Islamic State and other Al Qaeda spinoffs, the idea that the Saudis would “offer’’ to host a training camp for Syrian rebels to fight against the Islamic State almost defies logic. Nevertheless, according to the Politico account, it was the Saudi offer that triggered the Administration’s push.

Wall St needs the money

Wall St needs the money.  They are broke and have to loot everyone from Argentina to Russia.  It's a dangerous situation.  Call it the "Tonkin Gulf Syndrome." First you fabricate a lie about an incident or its authorship to justify military action; then you quickly escalate hostilities; and war is irreversibly underway before anyone has time to think twice about it.

It's what the British Empire did to suck the U.S. into the Vietnam quagmire. It's what Tony Blair pulled off with his "dodgy dossier" about Saddam Hussein's non-existent WMD in Iraq, with George Bush in tow. It's what the British and Obama tried to do again last year with the Syrian government's supposed chemical weapons attack—which was derailed at the eleventh hour by strong opposition from outside and inside the U.S., much of it organized by LaRouche PAC. And it is what the desperate, bankrupt British Empire is once again trying to pull off around the MH17 incident in Ukraine, with a headlong rush towards thermonuclear confrontation between the United States and Russia.

In the last 24 hours, significant obstacles have been thrown up to that British gambit—from U.S. military and intelligence circles opposed to Obama's provocations; from Russian President Putin; and from a deeply-divided Europe, which is dragging its feet on adopting increased sanctions against Russia.

But stalling war, as desirable as it is, does not eliminate the driving force behind the rush to thermonuclear confrontation.

This is paper that is never going to be paid. There is no possibility that the speculators will be able to recoup. Wall Street and the City of London are just going to have to take the hit."

"Take the related case of Detroit, where that city is also being destroyed by bankers and vulture funds—including some of the very same ones preying on Argentina—trying to collect on worthless assets. LaRouche also pointed to other worthless paper accounts which are destroying the world economy, such as those of commodity speculators."Look at the grain markets. Look at energy. These guys are also claiming values that don't exist, and they are killing people as a result. In fact,"LaRouche added,"we need a general proposal for an agreement among nations, as to what isand what is not real value in the economy. We have to force that issue, if we are going to solve the crisis. Fortunately, the BRICS nations have taken a strong step in that direction at their mid-July summit in Brazil."

With yesterday's decision by Judge Griesa to not grant a stay in the execution of the vulture funds' predatory collection demands on Argentina, that country now faces a July 31 deadline to either pay up, for face default. "That means the fuse is lit," LaRouche said,"both on the Argentina debt bomb, which could detonate the entire international system, and also on the escalating war danger. The time to act is now."

Burt Wides, a veteran Congressional staffer, who headed the Church Committee's investigation of the CIA back in 1975-76, stated in an interview with RealNewsNetwork, that there are two factors that require a new Church Committee-type independent investigation of the intelligence agencies: (1) that the Congressional oversight committees "are so entangled in this imbroglio with the CIA and the Justice Department," and (2) Obama's failure to investigate the abuses that took place during the Bush administration during "Cheney's war on terror." Wides helped to originally create the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and was involved in investigating Cheney's war on terror for Rep. John Conyers and the House Judiciary Committee. Wides has served as counsel or chief of staff to three U.S. Senators and two Congressional Committees.
Wides stated there's been some pressure for an independent investigation, but "it never came about because Obama didn't want it," and because the two intelligence committees didn't want to give up their jurisdiction to a third, independent body.
Wides further remarked that, as a result of the Church Committee revelations, "at least the liberal community was outraged, and especially because they were spying on First Amendment activities of Americans dissenting, etc." But in contrast today, "What I find among many of the same types of liberals who were outraged then ... (now) is 'I don't care, I don't care, even if they're spying on my First Amendment activities'" if there is some infinitesimal chance it will stop a terrorist attack. "That's the big change," Wides said.
Wides also made the point that, if Obama and the CIA want to keep something, like the Senate torture report, secret, that there is an established procedure by which the Senate can override the executive branch and make it public. (This is also the case vis-a-vis the suppressed 28 pages of the Joint Congressional Inquiry Report on 9/11.

Syria Hurt Obama's Feelings

Syria has committed the crime of hurting Obama's feelings.  So Obama will make a bigger attack, even to risk nuclear war with Russia and China.  As the examiner.com says:

Could the president be contemplating sending troops into harm’s way because his feelings were hurt? It’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Obama has never responded well to taunting, as exemplified by his overreaction to protesters during a 2011 fundraiser in San Francisco. When a group of American citizens chided, “We paid our dues, where’s our change?” the president was visibly irritated. Obama and Al-Qaeda

Coming out that Obama is in bed with Al-Qaeda. Guess he killed Osama in a faction fight. Disclosures that fighters from at least 29 countries are filtering into Syria, made by a United Nations special commission on Syria, have received widespread coverage around the world, again exposing President Obama's lie that his administration is supporting a "democratic" revolution in that country. Members of the UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria held press conference on Thursday in Brussels to release their latest quarterly report, which demonstrates that the conflict in Syria is becoming increasingly sectarian and violent and dominated by foreign fighters. They come from all over, Europe and America, and especially the neighboring countries," Karen Abuzayd, a member of the commission told reporters, adding that names from 29 states had been recorded so far among fighters entering Syria, according to a widely-circulated Reuters wire story. "Violence has increased dramatically in and around major cities, in particular Damascus and Aleppo, where anti-Government fighters have advanced to neighbourhoods close to the cities centres," the report stated. "Interviews with fighters, including some defectors, indicate that newly formed armed opposition groups are less likely to attach themselves to the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Many operate independently from existing groups or are affiliated to Islamist groups such as Jabhat al-Nusra. Foreign fighters, many of whom also have links to other extremist groups, are present in Idlib, Latakia and Aleppo governorates. Multiple interviewees noted that while these groups are independent of the FSA, they coordinate attacks with them." In this context, the report continues: "The Commission has received credible reports of anti-Government armed groups attacking Alawites and other pro-Government minority communities. One interviewee, an FSA fighter in Latakia, detailed how, upon capturing Government forces, the Sunni captives were imprisoned while Alawites were immediately executed. On 30 October, a bomb exploded near an important Shia shrine outside of Damascus, killing and injuring several people. On 6 November, a car bomb exploded in the Alawite neighborhood of Hai al-Wuroud in the north-west of Damascus, reportedly killing ten people." "Most of the foreign fighters filtering into Syria to join the anti-Government armed groups (or to fight independently alongside them) are Sunnis hailing from countries in the Middle East and North Africa," said the UN report. Two other notable, recent examples of exposure of Obama's alliance with al-Qaeda forces in Syria, are: * "The U.S. Fully Aware of al-Qaeda Presence in Syria and Overlooks Its Arming," says the Mideast SANA news service, reporting on a lengthy article published on Dec. 19 in the India paper The Hindu. SANA says the Hindu article reports that "the U.S. has been fully aware of the presence of al-Qaeda in the so-called Free Syrian Army since April 20, 2011 when Jihadis captured a truck (or Armoured Personnel Carrier) near Deraa, and killed all the 18 or 20 soldiers it was carrying, not by shooting them, but by cutting their throats in the approved Islamic manner." Despite all the evidence to the contrary, the Obama Administration still pretends that the jihadis make up only a tiny fraction of the Free Syrian Army. The Hindu cited videos posted by the armed terrorist groups themselves, which show that the armed opposition in Syria has been sliding inexorably into the hands of radical Islamists. Thousands of foreign fighters have poured into Syria from Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, and places as far apart as Pakistan and Chechnya, the Hindu reported. It also noted YouTube videos posted by the armed groups, showing their members executing captured Syrian soldiers and civilians in the approved manner. * "Nusra Front growing in popularity as Syrian fighting worsens," was an article run recently in the Daily Star of Beirut. "Having seen its star wane in Iraq, Al-Qaeda has staged a comeback in neighboring Syria," says the Daily Star, adding that the rise of the al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria, the Nusra Front "could usher in a long and deadly confrontation with the West, and perhaps Israel." The Nusra Front "has claimed responsibility for spectacular and deadly bombings in Damascus and Aleppo, and its fighters have joined other rebel brigades in attacks on Assad's forces," reports the Daily Star, adding that, "According to Site Intelligence group, Nusra claimed responsibility in one day alone last month for 45 attacks in Damascus, Deraa, Hama and Homs provinces that reportedly killed dozens, including 60 in a single suicide bombing." Members of the group interviewed by Reuters say Nusra aims to revive the Islamic caliphate, which "alarms many in Syria, from minority Christians, Alawites and Shiites to traditionally conservative but tolerant Sunnis, who are concerned that Nusra would try to impose Taliban-style rule." The Daily Star quotes "Omar," described as a 25-year-old university graduate and former army conscript who deserted and joined Nusra. "Our aim is to depose Assad, defend our people against the military crackdown and build the caliphate," Omar said in a phone interview. "Many in the Free Syrian Army have ideas like us and want an Islamic state."

Another government document that was commissioned by the Defense Department, written by the Congessional Research Division of the Library of Congress, and in the public domain since August 2012, proves that the intelligence was out in the open that Al Qaeda was operating in Libya, that Ansar al-Sharia "increasingly embodied al Qaeda's presence in Libya," and that the United States was its target. Daily Beast reporter Eli Lake reported yesterday morning (Nov. 5) that, "Before the attacks, the U.S. intelligence community didn't consider Ansar al-Sharia a threat to American interests, and the group wasn't a priority target for the CIA officers monitoring jihadists in Libya, according to U.S. intelligence officials with knowledge of the investigations into the Benghazi attacks." But, he notes, "Some analysts in the intelligence community disagreed with the official assessment.... A public report released in August by the Library of Congress at the direction of a Pentagon organization that focuses on counter-terrorism research concluded that Ansar al-Sharia "increasingly embodied al Qaeda's presence in Libya." But this wasn't the prevailing view...." Now, after Amb. Chris Stevens and three other Americans are dead, Lake writes, "the intelligence community has begun to reassess its view of Ansar al-Sharia in Benghazi, in part because the attacks there included not only that groups members but two other al-Qaeda-affiliated groups: al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and the Jamal network." The actual references in the Library of Congress report about Ansar al-Sharia are much stronger than what Lake and other reporters who have mentioned this report have said. In fact, the report points to the fact that Ansar al-Sharia was working as an umbrella for the other Al Qaeda militias not using the "Al Qaeda" brand name because the brand name was an instant death warrant. Below are the references in the August 2012 report that is titled, "AL-QAEDA IN LIBYA: A PROFILE," A Report Prepared by the Federal Research Division, Library of Congress under an Interagency Agreement with the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Offices Irregular Warfare Support Program, August 2012." * Page 1: Ansar al-Sharia, led by Sufian Ben Qhumu, a former Guantanamo detainee, has increasingly embodied al-Qaedas presence in Libya, as indicated by its active social-media propaganda, extremist discourse, and hatred of the West, especially the United States. * Page 2: "Ansar al-Sharia (Supporters of Sharia), a militia group led by Sufian Ben Qhumu ... could be the new face of al-Qaeda in Libya despite its leaders denial.... Ansar al-Sharia is a Salafist-jihadist militia based in Benghazi. * Page 3: "The name Ansar al-Sharia is also being used by al-Qaeda in the Lands of the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in so-called liberated areas of Yemen and by Salafist groups in Tunisia. The Facebook sites of Ansar al-Sharia in Libya and the group in Tunisia appear similar in design and content and also share contacts, suggesting coordination between the groups. Too Late to Apologize about Obama

Open Letter to Governor Christie:
Stop Apologizing for Obama! Take a lesson from LaRouche!
Dear Governor Christie,
What the people of the United States of America need and desire at this moment of crisis, is not oversized cheerleaders for a non-debate of two unqualified candidates for President. Obama is a mass murderer. After his cover-up and complicity in the take down of security at the US Consulate in Benghazi, that is all that needs to be said. Your blathering about the upcoming debates without once raising anything of substance, is tantamount to endorsing Obama for President, while nominally supporting Romney. Why can’t you just say it? “Obama is a dictatorial mass killer.”
This is why the American statesman Lyndon LaRouche, will be launching this week, a series of Friday evening national webcasts. LaRouche originally warned of Obama’s Hitler-like proclivities in an April 2009 address in Washington, DC. Nothing that LaRouche forecast about the likely results of allowing Obama to remain unchallenged in office has been proven wrong.
Reflect on the past four years. After $29 trillion of bailouts (begun under Bush, but massively increased under Obama), more Americans are unemployed and homeless than ever before. There is a new crime “familicide” where the perpetrator kills his whole family, and then himself, echoing the growing number of suicides in bankrupt European nations.
Obama signed the NDAA into law on New Year’s Eve of this year, which allows US citizens to be detained indefinitely without trial, and Obama takes it upon himself to hold weekly meetings to draw up “kill lists” of people who will be assassinated by his terror campaign of drones overseas, which have killed thousands of civilians.
Now, we are hanging by a thread, on the brink of thermonuclear war, only delayed thus far by LaRouche’s bold statements, and the courage of some of our military leaders, while Obama runs cover for the British/Saudi apparatus that ran the September 11, 2001 and 2012 attacks.
Unlike yourself, some leaders have begun to address the reality of the situation. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee compared Obama’s cover-up of the Benghazi attack, to Nixon’s cover-up of Watergate, where no one died, and made the obvious point of impeachment. Former New York City Mayor Guiliani has also stepped forward to identify the lies of the Obama administration surrounding the Benghazi events. Members of the House and Senate are demanding immediate investigations.
Since you, Mitt Romney, and Bill Clinton all seem to be collaborating on getting Obama reelected, by refusing to address the truth of his genocidal intentions, and Obama’s reelection would doom civilization, possibly to the point of species extinction, Lyndon LaRouche is stepping in to provide real leadership with a weekly, Friday night (8PM Eastern Time) address, which will hopefully inspire more courageous souls to ensure Obama’s removal from office, whether through impeachment, or through election, but OUT!

Spring 2012: The State Department contracts with the British SAS-linked Blue Mountain Group, to handle security at the Benghazi diplomatic compound. Blue Mountain hires Libyan nationals who are unarmed.
April-June 2012: The frequency of attacks by Jihadi groups in the eastern Libya area around Benghazi increases, leading to the International Committee of the Red Cross suspending operations in the east after an attack on its Misurata complex June 12. Convoys transporting the U.N. country chief and the British ambassador were attacked in April and June, leading to the British government shutting down its consulate soon after. According to the New York Times of Oct. 1, four Special Forces soldiers were sent to Benghazi to augment security and conduct a security assessment.
June 6: A small roadside bomb is detonated outside the walls of the U.S. outpost in Benghazi. No one is injured, and no evacuation ordered.
August 27: The U.S. State Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs warned U.S. citizens "against all but essential travel to Libya. The incidence of violent crime, especially carjacking and robbery, has become a serious problem. In addition, political violence in the form of assassinations and vehicle bombs has increased in both Benghazi and Tripoli."
Sept. 8: According to the New York Times of Oct. 1, a U.S. official in Benghazi met with security leaders to ask for a threat assessment. A senior Libyan official told the Times that "if there's going to be any foreign presence [in the city], it better be discreet." Jamal Mabrouk, a member of the February 17th Brigade, an anti-Qaddafi group that was allied with the U.S. during the war, and was part of the Benghazi U.S. compound's security detail, said he and a battalion commander had met with U.S. officials and told them the situation was "frightening, it scares us."
Sept. 9: The U.S. State Department receives credible information that American missions might be targetted in Libya, according to senior U.S. diplomatic sources. However, no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown," under which movement is severely restricted. [London Independent, Sept. 14] A senior Pentagon source confirmed to EIR that the White House itself and the CIA received a detailed warning of a pending attack from both the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. The reports were detailed enough to identify the Ansar al-Sharia group as being directly involved in the planned attacks. The source noted that the DIA had recently boosted its human intelligence unit and had operatives on the ground around the world, and the NSA was monitoring global communications traffic.
Sept. 10: Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Egyptian emir of al-Qaeda, released his annual message on the eve of 9/11/2001, calling for attacks on Americans, especially in Libya, in retribution for the drone murder of senior Libyan al-Qaeda operative, Abu Yahya al-Libi, who was killed on June 4, 2012.
August-early September: According to a hand-written journal found by CNN on the floor of the Benghazi compound, Ambassador Stevens was aware and worried about "the never-ending security threats" that he was facing in Benghazi, and specifically about "the rise in Islamic extremism" and "growing al-Qaeda presence in Libya," and "being on an Al-Qaeda hit list." CNN reporters were deployed to corroborate the reports in the diary, which was given to his family.
Sept. 11: Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other U.S. personnel at the Benghazi compound are murdered in the course of an armed assault on the compound. Details of exactly what happened are still unclear. What is known is that there were no Marines outside or inside the consulate. The security, according to many sources, consisted of three guards from the Libyan 17th of February Brigade, and five unarmed Libyans employed by the British Blue Mountain Group. A story by the Daily Beast's Eli Lake, of Sept. 21, reports on a U.S. intelligence intercept of a communication between a pro-al-Qaeda politician, and the 17th of February Brigade, in which "the Libyan politician apparently asks an officer in the brigade to have his men stand down for a pending attack—another piece of evidence implying the violence was planned in advance." The attackers, according to some eyewitnesses, numbered as many as 125, and used rocket-propelled grenades and other heavy weapons. There are numerous reports of complicity between the attackers and the security detail, and the suspicious fact that the attackers knew the location of the safehouse to which those who survived the initial assault retreated, as well as the precise location of the Ambassador.
Sept. 12: EIR received a briefing from a high-level Washington source who reported, from a Libyan source, that the attack on the Embassy had nothing to do with a demonstration against the movie, and that Benghazi was known to be a hot-bed of jihadi activity, including the fact that there are two members of Ansar al-Sharia, the group suspected in the attack, on the Public Safety Committee which oversees the city.
Sept. 14: On September 14, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, posted a blistering statement on her website that said:
"During the past two days, I have participated in classified briefings by the National Counterterrorism Center and the Department of Defense on the attacks on our consulate in Benghazi during which four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, were killed. "The lack of security provided to the Ambassador and other American personnel in Benghazi is deeply troubling and inexplicable given the dangerous threat environment in that city. Earlier attempts in June to reportedly attack the British ambassador and to plant a bomb outside of our consulate clearly demonstrated how dangerous and unsettled Benghazi is. Surely, the State Department should not have relied on Libyan nationals to guard the consulate. Rather, armed U.S. Marines should have been assigned to provide security. "The kind of weapons used by the attackers also strongly suggests to me that this attack was planned and not the result of a spontaneous protest...."
Sept. 15-16: Libyan President Mohamed Magarief told al-Jazeera and the U.S. TV show "Face the Nation" that "The way these perpetrators acted and moved—I think we, and they're choosing the specific date for this so-called demonstration, I think we have no, this leaves us with no doubt that this was pre-planned, determined.... It was planned, definitely. It was planned by foreigners, by people who entered the country a few months ago. And they were planning this criminal act since their arrival."
Sept. 15: On the same day the Libyan President was insisting that the attack on the consulate was preplanned, UN Ambassador Susan Rice was sent onto several Sunday talkshows to proclaim that the attack in Benghazi was the result of a demonstration against the anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims." This line continues to be spouted by Administration spokesmen until testimony by Homeland Security's director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Matthew Olsen, on Sept. 19.
Sept. 17: A Libyan security guard, hired by Blue Mountain Group, is reported in the London Daily Telegraph to have said that there were no demonstrators at the time of the attack. Several other eyewitnesses have subsequently confirmed that there never was a protest demonstration outside the Benghazi compound.
Sept. 19: CNN's Anderson Cooper reports to his TV audience that "A source familiar with Ambassador Christopher Stevens' thinking said that in the months before his death, he talked about being worried about the above threats to his life." He follows this up the next night with the fuller story of the contents related to Ambassador Stevens' security concerns.
Sept. 26: Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA) demand that the State Department release relevant correspondence from Ambassador Stevens on the security situation, in the run-up to the deadly events of September 11.
Sept. 28: Director of National Intelligence James Clapper issued a statement taking responsibility for the initial misassessment that the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens was the outcome of a demonstration gone amok, and claimed that "subsequent evaluation" has confirmed it to be a terrorist attack.
Sept. 30: In a statement posted on his website, Sen. Corker says that the State Department continues "deafening silence" in response to his requests, and those of other Senators for information on what lead to the terrorist attack on the Benghazi consulate.

That what you get from Obama's lunatic policy of overthrowing and murdering Qaddafi in Libya.  This was to back Al-Qaeda type militants, who run much of Libya.  They probably run a good chunk of the government too.  The murder, the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens is a horror show.


Time to get out of the Syria war game and negotiate in good faith with Russia, China, Iran, etc about what to do with the civil war mess in Syria.  A fight for democracy is merely the code phrase for installing radicals who will turn on the USA.  Here is the hypocritical crap coming out of CNN on this:

"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens," Obama said in a statement....

An "angry crowd" marched on the consulate on Tuesday, angry about an online film considered offensive to Islam, Libya's Deputy Interior Minister Wanis al-Sharif said Wednesday. The U.S. mission in Egypt was also attacked Tuesday in response to the film.

Al-Sharif said that consulate security staff opened fire when they heard gunfire outside the mission.

"This led to more anger and this is when the consulate was stormed," he said, suggesting that there were elements loyal to the regime of deposed dictator Moammar Gadhafi aiming to create chaos among the protesters. (total BS)

"Criminals managed to get in and they burned and ransacked the consulate," he said.

The U.S. mission is very badly damaged, the contractor said.

The website of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff yesterday posted the transcript of Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey's "Media Roundtable at U.S. Embassy in London" of Thursday, August 30, 2012, in which he escalated his organizing against launching military attacks on Syria and Iran. At that time, Col. David Lapan, Dempsey's spokesman, had confirmed to EIR via e-mail, that while in London, Dempsey had private meetings with British military and defense officials. His organizing was reflected in his public comments, which were his strongest ever against military intervention. Dempsey openly contradicted the threat against Syria made by Obama the previous week, which had been endorsed by British Prime Minister David Cameron. At one point, the Independent's headline for the story was: "Obama wrong over Syria action, Says Top General."

In again reviewing the General's remarks, it is worth noting that he pointedly avoided the formulation of Obama and his British masters, that Bashar Assad must step down, as the British press reported at the time.
Dempsey also clarified Obama's stance, saying that when the President took over a White House news conference August 20 to threaten Assad with attack if he used chemical weapons, he was not threatening Assad with attack if he used chemical weapons.
Q: "Just one more thing, the opposition states that — Mr. Obama, when he said that chemical weapons are a red line that shouldn't be crossed, they say — the opposition figures — they say that it is giving a green light to Mr. Assad to do anything he wants with chemical weapons — but using chemical weapons.
GEN. DEMPSEY: "Yeah, well that clearly wasn't the intent. And nor was it — nor was it the — I'm not speaking for the president, but my understanding is that nor was he saying that the use of chemical weapons would automatically lead to force. What he said — you know, what he said was very clear, which is that those who choose to use weapons of mass destruction against the population will be held accountable...."
